I hate to say, but I do like the Ford flaps. Expensive as hell, yes, but worth it. They are heavy, durable, and lower half can be removed with ease. And they don't look bad...
Some of you may want to read the article about the Bronco 4600 that is being tested on a 2-door frame. Kinda seems like the 2-door can fully support being even more of a badass!

Hmmm.... interesting thread. I had my windshield replaced due to a crack from a rock. After waiting two weeks, I went to a car wash and water started dripping in the center behind the mirror (duplicated after-the-fact with running hose). This was only second car wash and first time at same car...
Not much isn't these days. But at least my value doesn't drop. I have a FE. The reason I went OEM is because of the "BRONCO" and "EST 1966" on the driver lower corner and "Accessory Ready" inscribbed on the top. Wanted to keep the original markings. And I don't ever have to disclose I replaced...
It didn't take long at all. Safelight was able to obtain within a few days of me scheduling. They came to the house and all-in-all took about three hours, including calibration.
@Str8fast ...glad you're okay and sorry to hear. Since it looks like a complete rollover, can you provide any context on the deployment of the airbags? More importantly did you feel safe (in those split seconds) and did they do their job protecting you and your wife? Not looking for anything...
Florida has a Windshield law that requires insurance companies to fix (i.e. repair or replace) damaged windshields with no deductible. However, you have to have comprehensive insurance coverage. I have no heard of a limit on how many repairs.
I just had mine replaced (900 miles). Safelight originally brought out an aftermarket windshield and I told them "NO". Had to reschedule to get an OEM. When you get a crack and need replacement, make sure you ask for OEM (if you have factory etchings). I have a FE and no way were they were...
I agree on the rocks. I drove down some fire roads that were gravel and they picked up everything. On the way home on the highway, they were slinging rocks everywhere. I literally had to pry out all the rocks when I got home. Much rather have a mud tire, but then there is the noise factor. And...
Haha! I totally concur! Thank goodness I had the opportunity to test drive a mannequin during a weekend and discovered what to expect. And yes, because of this, I ordered the mud flaps (although on extended back order). To make matters worse, I had a roofing nail puncture one of those tires with...
Here it is installed on my FE. Easy install and yes the wheel is heavy as hell. I followed the instructions on the video.
@ORACLE Lighting ...only a suggestion, make the connect wires at least six inches longer for those that want to keep the factory third brake light and use existing harness...
