I have conversations with myself about dash mounted electronics when I'm driving. I understand why people like them, but all I see is blocked vents, blocked screen, blocked windshield. Probably because I'm used to big modern windshields. If onyx hunt would talk to android auto I'd have no need...
I'm confused. Are we still discussing Sasquatch like it's a thing? I thought it was on the list of things not to order . . . or else never see a Bronco till '24.
Big Bend locker is a good choice with better tires. Black Diamond 2.3 is a good choice (because skid plates, but they can be added)...
Great build; those “bumpers” you bought are badass.
I’m not trying to step on your vision, but I’m going to step on your vision. A Bronze Hockey Stick stripe would be both retro and tie to the wheels without needing a wrap or repaint.
Listen to this guy. I just turned out to be the asshat that says “ you don’t need forescan for that” and pops smoke. No details, no nothing. Douchey moment for sure. I’ll try to do better.
I was going to look into getting forescan to do the things I need. After looking at the list, I only need three, and I really think I’ve spent 80 bucks on dumber shit in my life.
After a second look, it’s really amazing how paint, wheels, and white letter tires turned it into a Bronco II. He stuck the landing, but if you like it or not is completely subjective.
I’ve said this before, and here I go again. Bronco 6G really stands on its own. It clearly draws its design cues from 1G, but taking 6G all the way back is perilous, because it’s really easy to take it too far. The edges of the grill and flares need to be body color.
Shoehorning 6G into 2 -...
I’d go to Big Bend w/ locking rear. The rear locker at least gives you a ratio that begins with a “4” making the 35s you want a much more viable option (plus the locking part). The Sandstone interior is very nice in person, and I hated it in pictures, but order the gray one if that’s your jam...
I love your trailer build. I’ve been building my own cargo conversion as a distraction during the wait for my Bronco. I had a standard tongue jack that rattled down on a washboard road (it was bad). I had my neighbor weld on a removable jack, so I never have to worry again.
Oh, good. I was wondering if there was some sort of subscription. For $x we’ll send you a new set of straps once a year for the next five years.
Used to run a rubber boot on my barefoot horses when I was in the rocks, and the Velcro definitely had a shelf life.
Totally agree, but could you imagine ford trying to insert a Bronco Half Cab / pickup into the production Charlie Foxtrot that comprises the modern world. Whole new group of buyers that want what they can’t have. Ugh!
Oh, no not at all. I’m Team Bronco. I just like THAT there are others in this retro inspired off road market. I liked Toyota’s last attempt at this, but it wasn’t a Bronco (even then, I wished Ford had an answer). Blazer’s failure just made me sad. Electric Scout? Blasphemy. What’s Wong...
I didn't exactly pic my Bronco. I had a purebred Black Diamond picked out for all the reasons one picks a BD. The gestation period ended up going long, so I ended up adopting a Big Bend Sasquatch, essentially adopting it from a dealer lot near by. I had to do it. Who knows what kind of home it...
The trail armor really looks good on the Carbonized Gray Bronco, but my Bronco is Cactus Gray, and I just don’t know how it wou . . . Oh, damn. That looks nice.
Your Bronco name is very cool. I also like the door handle pockets you picked versus the 3M tape a bottom plate to the handle types I’m seeing. Permanent handle bottoms are going to get gross if the Bronco sees dirt. Removable cups are the way to go.
