Got some sleep and engaged my brain. Looks like the Turn Off Road Jerry Can Bracket has enough holes to attach to the Raptor Bracket. That’s five gallons extra fuel for $500 versus the multiples of thousands I’ve been trying to avoid spending.
Recently lost an engine skid plate bolt which became really apparent on my last off road trip. Went online and ordered what i thought was the right one based on diagram. Pic for reference:
The small black one is what I need. The silver one is what I ended up with.
What part# am I supposed to...
Mine came from a local surplus store. I'd do an internet search for Molle II Sustainment Pouch. They are available in ACU (pictured), woodland, and possibly multicam ($$$).
Way back around pre-production days (crazy times) there was a member that posted a picture of a tailgate mounted tank on a jeep. This tank was a crazy convoluted shape that filled in space behind and around the spare tire. I was hoping that company (whoevwr they were) got thier Bronco game on...
I live in the desert southwest where rain is . . . what is this rain thing were discussing? When water eventually falls from the sky (its just rumors), the roads have been accumulating oil for the last how many ever months its been (many) and turn to glass / ice / snot when they first get wet...
LOL. I forgot about that. Waking up in a world so screwed up that cloth cant be sourced. My brain immediately went to Ron White’s bit about his friend was "kickin back broth."
I was really all in on the Black Diamond interior. I really like the Sandstone Big Bend seats I ended up with...
I would gladly trade my Sasquatch Fakelocks for a set of the steelies that used to come on the Black Diamond Bronco. They are a touch narrower and without the beauty ring, the wheel is somewhat protected by the tire.
As far as getting bashed goes . . . This is Bronco6g. You should've been here during the reveal/roll out/reservation fiasco. That time period left miles and miles of wreckage, banned members, and hurt feelings. Tempers flared, and we exposed ourselves as a bit testy.
For that money or less my wife and I are going back to the Grand Canyon for another rafting trip. They let you keep the sleeping bag or donate it to the homeless if you don't want it.
Edit; Northern Nevada, Middle of October? Dress warm, but it's better than sweating your balls off. Never mind...
You are kinda hitting on one of my main gripes with OnX. It will search and show you WHERE something is at on the map (GPS coordinate, named attraction, etc), but it won't show you HOW to get there the first time. I also tend to use Google maps for this, as Google's soft road database is better...
When I was on a recent trip in an area I've been before, previously saved tracks were visible on the Bronco screen. To start a new track, I had to go to the phone. The whole mess locked up hard when I made a phone call.
My philosophy originated during the days of scarcity but remains the same. Having a Bronco is more than half the battle. Eighteen months, and I still love mine. Saved 6 months buying off the lot versus waiting for the ordered bronco, and definitely had six months of fun in that time period.
