I think Ford basically eats the x-plan discount? They sell it to the dealer for slightly less than the normal price. Dealer still gets it’s margin except maybe a little less on the doc fee but they get a more satisfied customer too.
FoMoCo is absolutely 100% to blame for this 3 year BS saga. A good dealer can only make the whole process and experience bearable, whereas a crappy dealer (like yours apparently) will make it excruciating painful and frustrating.

She called it a ”build date.” Given it’s a tuesday, I would say it’s the estimated date that the parts come together on the line. Though I totally expect that to slip some, being we are almost two mos out.
I got a text from the dealer that my 2Dr HE has been scheduled for 2/13 production and been assigned a VIN. Haven‘t seen any communications from Ford. So much for keeping as informed every 45 days….blah, blah. I sent an email to the dealer to request the VIN so I can track, as I totally expect...
Anyone with 2Dr HE orders getting scheduled? If so, are you getting emails, VINs, private offers (‘23 rollovers), etc from Ford or are you having to reach out to figure what is going on?
Got word today that my ‘23 HE 2Dr has been cancelled but dealer was able to put a new order in for a ‘24 and said I should receive a private offer for the price increase. Anyone else hear the same or receive the private offer for the difference?
Well, the shipping backlog ought to be cleared up and the parts bins topped off! Maybe now we’ll see what a full production run looks like as they try to bang out the quarter.
