Sounds to me like your dealer is a mute donkey. I know that my order is for a 2022 Badlands with the washout interior and the Lux package. I think @Tdifonzo has it right, in guessing that your dealer is confusing the Lux package with the leather seating option. They are separate options...

If you have a First Edition, then you already have the plates.

The O2 sensor trickery is very easy. Just google “MIL eliminator”. A simple device that connects to the O2 sensor harness, and simulates readings from a good post-cat O2 sensor.

Your profile says your Bronco is a First Edition. If I'm not mistaken, that means it has full bash plates. Those ought to be a significant obstacle to any criminal filth that might be after your catalytic converters.
