This was a really interesting video in that the gladiator with locking diffs had the hardest time, mostly due to length and ground clearance. (???) The new defender they brought did not have locking diffs, but was shorter and did it much easier. I guess they brake the wheels and that forces them...
I had a shop put a clear coat of plastic paint protection on my raptor. The guy that owned the shop was upset that he quoted me so low. I only took it down one really super narrow trail and it left scratches in the plastic. The shop owner thinks he could get them out with a heat gun, but haven't...
They probably didn't spend the money to make them easily removable and reinstall-able like the doors as they assumed that if you removed them they would stay in your garage forever. But then again, maybe they had to weld the seat rails to the floor.
While y'all are talking mileage and power, don't forget that the Sasquatch package with those big tires will impact things a lot. Even more if you get some heavier tires.
If you want the manual and more power, get this with a ford warranty: https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-9603-REB
I remember going up a hill on a quad. Couldn't down shift quick enough, stalled out, rolled backwards. RZR with cvt didn't have that problem.
Last week driving on dirt road...
I believe a lot of dealers are going to get "stock" units by charging so many silly fees people walk away from their order. Then they can mark it up as much as they want. Refuse the charges, no vehicle for you. The last two dealers I've been to have said right up front, the doc fee is (high...
I find the range estimate in vehicles is highly dependent on the last five minutes, so if you've been going slow it increases, and if you have been going fast it plunges.
I have a 2011 Raptor and love it. It is super fast, has survived some holes that I didn't see until the last minute (water bottles are supposed to bounce off the ceiling right?), and can be used as a truck. I have not bought a jeep as no matter how much time I spend on a trail, I still have a...
I'm really hoping the modular hard top doesn't squeak and make wind noise. Trail driving is great but it always seems it's a long road trip to get there.
I have a 2011 Raptor. I have probably bought 4-5 sets from Discount Tires. The latest seem heavier (worse mileage) but seem to balance better. So far at least.
I ordered a 6.2 raptor. Some guy had a link where you could follow the train car. Really was insanity. Just wait until they call and then go pick it up, and hope they don't tack on any stupid extras.
