When I made a reservation 10 hours after the launch in July 2020 with about 50,000 other fine folks, there was a lot of worry about purchasing the first wave of a new vehicle. Now sitting here with my wife's 2-door Outer Banks, 2.7 engine, and 4.27 gears for under $44,000, we are so happy!

I haven't seen a post yet on "why it is not a real off-road vehicle" because it has painted fender flares.😜

Interesting, when I bought my wife's OBX non-sas the only other gear option than 3.73 was 4.27.

My wife is vertically challenged, and she loves riding up higher especially at night when head lights shine in in her eyes. She also has the step bars to get in.

We have been buying new Fords since my 1986 Bronco II. The minimum Motorcraft battery life span for me was 8 years. I've sold a 10 year old F-250 with the original battery in it. I just changed the battery in my 2015 F-150 this year and it still wasn't totally dead.

I run on the beach also. Excess weight is a killer for floating on soft sand.

Did you take one of them to the dealership for inspection? That's where the free cell phone and video came into play. I never rolled my Bronco II neither. I was going to take in to the dealer for the inspection as a joke. At the time I was running a 4" suspension lift, 2" body lift, 33"...

When I had my Bronco II there was a class action suit against Ford because of the roll over characteristics. All I had to do was take it to my dealer for inspection and I would get a DVD on the roll over problem with the Bronco II and a free cell phone. Oh, and the lawyers got 20 million... ;)

It's a 2-door Outer banks with 4.27 gears and 2.7 engine. Kind of a unicorn. There was a vender at the Bronco event last year in Ocean City, MD that did wraps. I thought, this is great maybe they had some insight on wrapping the MIC top. Not a clue, dumb as a rock. Probably better off...

My January 2022 2-door top is fine but it's in a garage half the time. I still get jealous when I see a painted jeep top and just wonder why Ford can't............
