Ford's (or the regulation agencies) intended functionality is annoying, and the bugs I am having make it worse.
I bought a base to have the least amount of computer tech as possible. These mandated "features" that can't be easily disabled are terrible.
Looks like Forscan is in my future.
I saw another thread where that was mentioned and hoped it to be the case. Unfortunately, after strictly paying attention to my exit, it is not the cause.
Thanks. If that is the case then at least it explains what is seen in the video.
But I definitely have returned to my parked vehicle at night with the lights on and the dial set to on. I know I didn't park it that way.
Also the "sleeping" dial only adds to my suspicion something is not correct.
I am experiencing a strange behavior with my headlights.
When I set the dial to off, turn off the ignition, exit the vehicle and lock it, upon returning, the dial is set to auto. Video attached.
I have found my headlights on a few times when parked. In those cases, the dial was definitely set...
That picture is almost what the side of mine looks like after city/highway driving... so front mud flaps seem like a requirement.
I ordered the factory ones and have them installed OK on the rears. With the larger Sas flares, the fronts do not fit. I knew they were designed for the standard...
There aren't many 2 door sliders/steps but I found these on the Westin site. Not yet available but I like them and the price is right.

Thanks for the video.
I plan to setup up a pulley strap system in my garage similar to what I had years ago with my Wrangler. It makes the process super quick and simple. I would back into the garage, unscrew the bolts and then just pull the straps to lift a few inches. I would then drive out...
Thanks! Ya my dealer, who are good people, told me not to pay attention to estimated dates as they are grossly inaccurate. He told me back in mid September to plan on end of Oct for delivery. I have no idea if that was an awesome guess or he did some magical calculation.
My 10/12 blend, NJ bound Bronco hasn't shipped yet either. I was assuming it was in the mod center but this is a bit too long for that explanation. I have a 11/1 dealer eta and 11 day transit time. So either it has shipped and trackers aren't updated, or it will be late.
That's odd. My sticker blend date of 10/12 is what shows as my production date. My built date on the Ford tracker is what is termed Release Date here.
Here is what I am seeing...
When other trackers were giving me issues, I used this one. I believe it is the data source for the other trackers. Delete the Xs and add in your VIN and Order #.

Yes, you guys got it....replace the XXXs with your info.
This link is the API call for the other tracking sites. At least that is how I understand it. If it doesn't show updated info here, then possibly there is another data source. If so, Ford should try to consolidate some of their internal...
