I bet less than half of reservations will be turned into orders. The last I heard production starts in April (we'll see) with deliveries targeted for June. Between 6,000-7,200 produced a week depending on the week, so average that out to 6,600 a week when production is in full swing. So let's...
The 33's on the non-squatch look small in the pics. They usually look pretty good with the 33's. Don't make me spend $5k on a package I have no need for for Ford!
I've driven a Ranger with the 10 speed. It's not a bad transmission by any means, it's just oriented towards MPG. In the Ranger atleast. Tuning dictates that too though.
Compared to the ZF 8-speed in my Charger, it felt a bit sloppy and clumsy. Now if that 8-speed was in the Bronco, I'd...
I get bored with vehicles really easily and a truck or SUV generally doesn't have a "fun to drive" factor. I'm thinking the manual will keep me from getting bored as quick and have a fun factor that the auto just won't have.
Not to mention, the 10 speed auto is designed specifically with one...
I have a Jeep TJ now and I love it but I would not want to daily it. It's just a weekend beach cruiser.
The Bronco powertrains and IFS are the major factors for wanting a Bronco over a new Wrangler. I've driven several JLs and they're fine. But the biggest shortcomings for me are the solid...
Bright colors! The only "fun" color for the Bronco is Cyber Orange. I'm coming from a Plum Crazy Purple Charger so the bland colors just don't do it for me. I'd love to see a Grabber blue and lime green. Seriously considering wrapping the Bronco purple ?
We had quite few 100+ degree days where I'm from in NH this summer which is pretty common. It does get hot up here believe it or not. And then it gets really cold. Like your snots-freeze-inside your-nose-when-you-take-a-breath cold.
Daily driver with occasional light off-road use. It's actually harder to find trails and such in NH than you'd think. The roads here are bad enough that I consider myself to off-road every day really.
I really don't see Ford offering the manual with the 2.7 anytime in the near future. The manual is going to be very low volume sales wise.
The only reasons they offer the manual are 1. People will complain that they don't offer it, even though most of the people complaining have no intention of...
My thought is that trucks/SUV's are not inherently fun to drive and I feel like the manual will give it some fun factor over the auto. I'm coming from a purple Charger Daytona... I need to keep some of the excitement.
My only real concern is the manual trans. I'm a little hesitant with it being an all new trans, especially a Getrag unit. And clutch pedal feel / shift quality etc. is easy to get wrong. From the limited amount of info out there, the test drivers seem to really like the 2.3 with the manual, so...
The 2.7 is an excellent little engine. I loved it in my F-150 and the Bronco will be a little hot rod with it. I just value the manual more than the 2.7.
