I have an F-150 with the 5.4 (320HP/390TQ) and the 2.3L is just as peppy/quick in city and on highway. Your Tahoe has similar hp/torque as my truck so I would expect the same results, but you just have to go and drive one to be sure.
Yes, agreed! Also, the 2.3 is absolutely capable, having personally test driven both in 2-door and 4-door configurations. Unless you're coming from a performance sports car/suv, you will be more than happy with the 2.3L I4 engine in the 4-door Bronco.
FYI, there are several folks on this forum who are late-comers to the Bronco ordering system and miraculously have received (or are scheduled to receive) their Bronco ahead of all the others who ordered in 2020 or early 2021. If you want to get it sooner than later, consider the Big Bend 2.3L...
And people are buying them! If anyone is interested in a reasonably priced soon to be built Big Bend, Soft-top, 2.3/Auto, mid-pkg, iconic silver, PM me.
I agree and feel that (once my Bronco is delivered) it will be the best vehicle for my needs. I also agree that the parking brake should be moved--in the center console like we would expect. Would love to have a pull-brake that I can feel and hear when it is engaged. That tiny little e-brake...
I dropped the tow hitch from my build and planning to do the $100 super simple hitch install like this guy...
If you're not towing a trailer, this will work for storage racks, bike carriers, etc...
1. Power seat options for 2-door Broncos
2. 1/2 removable tops like the old Isuzu Amigo/Rodeo
3. Upgrade the base tires
4. Add a real tachometer
5. Add a retro-version 2-tone paint job similar to the 70s Broncos
Has anyone else noticed how difficult the hood is to close/lock? You really have to let that thing fall hard from at least 18" or it does not want to latch. Of course, that is only my experience with dealership demos since I am still waiting for delivery :(
I have only seen one 2-door Bronco in the wild that was not a dealer vehicle. Of course, I had to ask the guy and it was a day 1 reservation from a Ford salesman. I've also been tracking them on ebay and asked several who responded that they were also day 1 reservation holders. Now that they...
Sorry, latecomer to this thread. Trying to adjust my preferences to get notifications of stuff like this. I received my 1/10/22 production email on November 18, 2021. I dropped the hardtop and 2.7 and viola, I got the email!
Reservation Date: 5/17/21
Order Date: 11/5/21
Production Date...
I hear ya. I went with 2 different dealerships for my builds. Both are small rural towns outside of Phoenix but not sure how many orders they have. My 4-door is scheduled 1/10/22 but its a soft-top BB so not too exciting.
You're "in" the production system, that is. Keep the faith! Its crazy how we can manipulate the system by just dropping some of the constraint items. I dropped everything I could from my 2-door and still no build.
Just checked my build and it still shows week of 1/10/22. So far so good! I have not seen that page before, so thanks for sharing. I wish Ford would make it easier instead of sending us to so many different links to try to figure out our build status.
Fyi, my build:
4 door Soft top, Big...
I have a 1/10/22 week build as well. 5/29/21 reservation. I changed to BB, Mid-pkg, soft-top/4 cyl with Auto and the following week, I got the email! My 2-door, V6 on the other hand, still crickets :(
