UPDATE 21:
Just finished installing my custom leather shifter boot from @RedlineGoods and it was definitely an adventure.
Most of the challenge was working to decipher how everything went back together after getting the factory boot off.
This boot looks great with my @Mabett two tone seat...
top off doors off is my cue to feel super cool, look super cool, and be super cool, all in my own mind! My interior is so dusty I have an allergy attack everytime I get in, but by god I feel so cool and have so much fun cruising that thing around I’ll happily sneeze until the cows come home.
Wouldn’t recommend hanging by the handles. Though sturdy, relying on them to hold your doors over time is asking for trouble. The stitching will inevitably fail and cause you heartache. I used 6” deep u-hook wall attachments to lean them against the wall in their bags and it has been a dream...
This is awesome!!! I don’t want the license plate bracket, but this tutorial is exactly what I need to explore other cool DIY mods. Thanks #following
Yep, done several times, even at highway speeds. Would not recommend on 4-DR as the panel set up and securing system is a bit different due to the extra middle panel.
I want a solution for my phone that, like my fob, allows me to lock and unlock with the proximity sensor. Just walk up to vehicle with my phone in pocket, touch door handle, and boom. Open.
