From what I understand, since you have a VIN it's a 2021, regardless of when you get it. Unless they cancel the VIN and give you a new one.

The combination of the rotation number and that 8/1/2021 BLEND date with November is suspect, I think...seems like maybe an entry error?

Yeah...I was perpetuating what others have called it. I imagine MIC 2.0 was probably like MIC v0.74, which was selected by the engineers, and MIC 1.0 was probably like MIC v0.61 and chosen by the bean counters. The engineers were probably like, "ooooh....bad choice, that's going to cost us more...
