Isn't there a pretty good chance that we would be able to order the Mid Package with the manual transmission, but remote start feature will simply be omitted?
The red button is just a holdover from the early days of camouflaged public road tests. If any curious journalists got too close, test drivers were instructed to hit the button, which deployed a thick smoke cloud to the sides and rear to allow a stealth getaway.
It's a neat looking little rig, but I'd like to hear more about that 1.5L 3-cylinder engine. That seems to be the only choice in the lower end of the model range.
The tube doors are shorter than the outer "skins" of the regular doors, to fit up inside the door jamb. Looks like they're scaled about right in the hacked image.
Will one of the G.O.A.T. modes use traction control to selectively brake a spinning front tire and transfer torque to the other side through the open diff M190 axle?
Will one of the G.O.A.T. modes (say, "Slippery", or "Crawl") selectively apply the brake on a slipping/spinning front wheel, with the non-locker M190 front diff?
What is the possibility of a "Non Squatch" Black Diamond being able to selectively apply the brake on a spinning (or "in the air") front tire....as a substitute for having a locker in the front M190 diff?
Maybe one of the G.O.A.T. modes uses factory "traction control" technology to do this...
I'd like to see Ford offer the 4.70:1 lockers and 33 inch tires with the 7-speed at all trim levels. So, rather than having to chose between a Sasquatch option on a Base model, or jumping several trim levels to the Badlands.....we could just check the option boxes for essential functional items.
Velocity Blue is not available on the Ford web site "colorizer" yet, but all the other selectable icons have two different "shades". What is intended by the color "split" on these icons?
Badlands 2-door
2.3L, 7-speed
Antimatter Blue
aftermarket white wrap on hardtop
Mid Package
Question....is there only one version of the locking front M210 differential? The Ford "compare models" pdf says locking front is standard on Badlands, but when you head down the "explore this model"...
