  1. Another Bad Hard Top That Ford Dealership Refuses to Fix

There was a time long, long ago in Ford dealerships, (Like in the 80s), that warranty performance of dealerships was measured by total dollars spent in a period of time. Ford hasn’t measured warranty that way for about 30 years. It’s now measured by average cost per vehicle serviced. Timing...
  2. Rear window tint bubbling

Yeah, it’s a laminated piece of glass. The lamination was not done correctly. You’ll need a new back glass. No biggie.
  3. Another Bad Hard Top That Ford Dealership Refuses to Fix

The Owner Relations number used to be 800-392-FORD. That top is definitely not normal.
  4. Tailgate rattle TSB for 2021-2022 Broncos built on or before July 25, 2022

No, Ford will pay for it, their part is at fault, not you. Don’t let dealer convince you otherwise.
  5. AC not keeping up.

The A /C compressor is turned off by the PCM at wide open throttle or under heavy throttle/heavy load to give maximum power to the wheels. That has been the case for a long while on about all vehicles on the road.
  6. Scuffs to interior plastic

303 Protectant. I use it on all rubber, vinyl, and plastic except tires. It’s not so good for tires.
  7. Scuffs to interior plastic

I don’t know anything that will get rid of scuffs, but going over the plastic with 303 seems to really help to prevent the scuffs from happening in the first place. I like 303 because it’s not greasy and won’t attract dirt. It makes the plastic look nice, too.
  8. New 2023 Wildtrak owner and nightmares have begun from day 1

It sucks that you are having these problems with a new Bronco, and I get your frustration and doubt about the quality of the truck. The TCU problem is not exclusive to the Bronco, it is known on other vehicles both in Ford’s lineup and outside it. They will come to a resolution, and a software...
  9. New 2023 Wildtrak owner and nightmares have begun from day 1

I work at a Ford dealer as shop foreman. We had a 230 mile Bronco last week that had the wire harness coming out of the large rubber bulkhead, next to the master cylinder, rub through on a sharp edge on the fender support. The spot is just rear of the battery junction box. I checked my 350...
  10. Deep sleep mode

Have to agree. I see this often, car is started then driven 2 miles to take kids to school, shut off in front of school (it’s a no-idle zone), started up to drive back home. Started to go pick kids up from school, shut off waiting for them to come out, started again and driven back home. The...
  11. 399 miles on “new” outer banks

That doesn’t work with digital odometers, they count reverse miles the same as forward miles.
  12. 2021 Badlands Sasquatch took a hit... totaled?

Man, that sucks. I read all the time on forums that if air bags deploy insurance companies will total the vehicle. That’s not necessarily true. Our service department puts new air bags in body shop cars all the time. I’m sure that your Bronco won’t be totaled. Looks like a new bumper...
  13. Dealer Saying Prep Will Take 3 Days?

There seems to be more than normal numbers of cars being delivered to the medium sized dealer I work at. Their new car get ready department is probably backed up. I took mine without the prep, all prep involves now is checking oil and coolant levels, tire pressure, and clean up. Dealer may be...
  14. Grille Shutter Delete? Want to maximize cooling

There are some operating conditions such as cool, humid weather, where it's best not to cool the Charge Air Cooler as much. Over-colling it can lead to excess condensation that will accumulate in the cooler until the engine goes to high boost. The water will then be vacuumed out of the cooler...
  15. Bronco Build Week 4/10/2023

Those files are just MANY lines of code for the modules on the vehicle. If you could open them they would make no sense. They get loaded onto a Ford Scan tool for the purpose of programming a new module.
  16. Lights Flash and Horn Sounds When Disconnecting the Negative Terminal

That normally happens when you hook the battery back up, maybe you broke contact and then accidentally touched the cable to the battery again? It is the modules on the vehicle "waking up". It is perfectly normal and happens on many modern vehicles that have many modules on multiple...
  17. Dealership service denied

Dealer’s Sales and Service Agreement requires them to service all Fords brought to them, but dealers will, and should, prioritize THEIR customers. With some dealers being short on quality technicians, waiting times for customers who chose to buy elsewhere can become quite long. It’s good to...
  18. Major issue with my new Bronco's wheels / hub (wheel came off while driving)

The Workshop Manual has spec at 98 lb-ft for Bronco and 147 lb-ft for Braptor.
  19. Ford Says These MIC Hardtop Cracks Are Considered Normal

Those that are pretty obviously damage, around edges, corners, and around the locating pins.
  20. Ford Says These MIC Hardtop Cracks Are Considered Normal

I’m shop foreman at a Ford dealer and have seen an official Ford document advising dealer service departments on what is and isn’t covered on MIC tops. The cracks in your top are specifically covered. Many other cracks in other areas are not covered, but those are. Might try a different...
