I think it has something to do with the components made of the steel. Think bronze age to iron age - to stay competitive, improve the steel. Should be lighter and just as tough, if not tougher. Optimize the amount of material needed to create a product.
Engineering something to be used like a...
Yes. I was agreeing with you in my original post, specifically how the military will not adapt it, because it's a logistical nightmare. Sorry if I didn't make that more clear.
Can we agree that water can be turned into hydrogen? Requires the equivalent of a nuclear reactor and concentrated solar energy.
Can we also agree that it would be impossible to make a nuclear reactor on every other street corner in place of gas stations, let alone a military grade, modular...
Yeah, if I remember right, the problem with water as a fuel is logistics. Can create hydrogen for a fuel source, but the amount of pressure needed requires a great deal of equipment to do it safely, which is partly why it's problematic as an alternative fuel source.
I mean, gas stations can...
I agree about the premature wear on the starter, however, I think I've read something about ecoboot turbos being water cooled instead of oil specifically for the auto start stop function. The idea that it continues to cycle liquid for cooling after shutoff would be nice. But it doesn't make...
Had one when a semi pulled out in front of me. His lawyer tried putting 100% blame on me, citing the rear most portion of the trailer had been hit and that I should have had room to stop considering the length of the semi and trailer.
Dashcam showed a complete blow by of a stop sign before we...
34. Storage space. Do arborist type work in remote locations. Between chainsaws, climbing gear, rope, and self recovery equipment..... 2 door MIGHT cover it. Then again, I didn't buy a bronco because it MIGHT fit my needs. It does. With extra doors.
My only gripe with my soft top is the back window. I'm putting gear in and out constantly, and I have to maneuver around the bar, even in the upmost position, and even with the back window out. But I do enjoy pulling just the windows out and taking the doors off for the perfect amount of cool...
I do my own oil changes in spring and fall like clockwork. Usually end up at 5-7k miles between oil changes. I do it myself because I repurpose the oil. Yearly wipe down of outdoor equipment (lawn mowers and log splitters) as a rust prevention, as well as using it for chainsaw bar oil.
Someone suggested attempting to use forscan to change it. I assume it's not something forscan related so much as the code itself? I can open developer options and tweaking animations on phones, but I have yet to find anyone doing anything to that extent to the bronco.
Also, more financially...
Not to beat the dead horse, but the problem I have is the interface itself. I can care less if the digital readout is on the screen or the knobs. The UI stops everything to show you changing temp with a giant pop up. Wouldn't it be just as easy to have a static display (knobs or screen) that...
It is a long time to have to wait to make adjustments while driving. Most our drives are short in nature, and I enjoy a variety of music. I constantly change music/stations.
Or, for the longer trips, typing in the GPS a destination...
Edit: for clarity, I do not type in GPS destinations while...
I just wish the interface wouldn't lock you out. Have a '22, and anytime my wife changes the temp on her side while I'm doing anything, it stops me to display her temp, then she sets it, then it waits for inputs before allowing me to go back to what I was doing. It's the same with her dual zone...
99% of driving is on the road, but what is the purpose of your bronco purchase? Majority of my driving is also on road. However...
The few times a year I go out into the woods with chainsaws, I'm usually covered in a combination of sawdust, oil, and fuel. Vinyl and washout interior is a must...
The problem I have with moving the camera, it will screw up the photo stitching on the 360. You would have to move linear with the angle already, like a zoom, if you will.
I'm so torn. Either way, I'm going to have to alter the vehicle for a winch. I hate the idea of cutting the frame for a hidden winch, and I hate the idea of having my front camera exposed. The problem is, I need a winch for how I get my wood for the winter lol
It does look really good. I like that you aren't adding 2 feet to the bumper. Still kinda sucks about your front camera though. Going to attempt relocation?
Well, spoiler alert for anyone looking at a Ford ranger instead; those back seats also do not recline.
Out of curiosity, could the reason be unibody vs body on frame?
That's what led me to the surface shield, as well as the winged adapters for applying. Through my limited research, including his videos on the subject, PB blaster was worth the shot.
