4 door soft top that folds flat without disassembling windows and having to store them somewhere. Iām happy to unzip and roll them up to go safari mode, donāt care if the back corners arenāt as rigid. Assembling windows is annoying, but storing them when out is the real failure on Fordās part. I...
I love my steelies, and couldnāt agree more. Iāve looked for aftermarket options but will likely just find some Sasquatch takeoffs when these tires wear out.
Wow. Canāt believe i missed it before. Sure enough! @Nomadic i never have spotted rubbing on the crash bars, just assumed that was the rub. Sway bar, both sides- but if youāre not stuffing it at lock it shouldnāt rub. No wear marks on any crash bars.
Hadnāt considered it. Iāve only really heard it from the front left while turning right, but never could see any rubbing on the crash bar. Time to crawl underneath today.
I didnāt add spacers and only had the rubbing issues mentioned above. As far as I can tell spacers wouldnāt change anything for me. If you search Kendas in the forum thereās some others who run them without spacers
My lift (sorry forgot to include) is the Ford Performance 2ā lift, which I...
Iāve run 35x10.5 Kendra Klevers for the last 15-20k and am very happy with look, noise, and traction.
Too lazy to remove crash bars, but they only have rubbed a couple times at full lock when pulling into steep driveways (and coming in hot). Iām sure if I disconnected the sway bar Iād need/want...
Wild that itās sort-of quieter. My only complaint is the lack of a deeper exhaust, especially on the 4-banger like mine. Might go crazy with a hacksaw eventually.
How loud/drone-y is this in the cab? I did something very similar on my teenage diesel Jetta and couldnāt take it over 60 without vibrating the trim off, but I love short dumps like this.
I donāt care about rear pop outs or even rear windows. I donāt care about removable roof panels.
I just want a hard top that has rack mounts in the OEM position. I donāt even care about sound deadening if itās expensive, I can do that myself cheaply.
Wipers? Who cares
Sprayer? Nope.
Just a...
If youāre looking for a narrower 35, you might consider the Kenda 35x10.5s. I run them (with the FP lift) on stock Black Diamond steelies. 5k miles and havenāt been able to detect any rubbing, even with crash bars installed. Theyāve been pretty quiet and have good reviews for longevity, decent...
Wife and I just moved to Baltimore from Georgia - this is Evelyn, ā22 Black Diamond non-squatch. Added the FP lift and some 35ā Kendas, would love to find somewhere to get dirty again.
I went with the 2ā Ford Performance suspension - major ride quality difference over factory Hitachis, definitely worth the money. Lots of folks go with the Eibach 2.0 kit for adjustability, Iām just a sucker for warranty. Found the kit for $1700 through Levittown ford.
