The sticky stuff in the bag is grill putty. The foam pads are to be cut and used as gasket material if desired between the speaker and mounting location. Mystery solved.

I can confirm that the Kicker 6.75” speakers fit perfectly into these larger pods. Had some stick on pipe insulation and went ahead and lined the inside to improve sound as they are basically plastic buckets. Does anyone know what what this black stuff in the small bags and the square foam...

There is no way that going from 4”, one-way speaker to a 6.5“ two-way does not make a difference. You might want to get the hearing checked out? Now, I love the discussion but really want know when I can buy a pair of these damn things?

Please let us know when restocked. Have a set of kickers ready to go in.
