Heck at this point I wouldn't be shocked to see them walk back the factory fill number to 6.5 on the WSM. Anything seems possible with this screw up since we are on the 17th dip stick revision and conflicting information coming out of Ford.
Looks to be the case. Guess we will see if the information gets published to an updated owner's manual in the near future. Glad I still have a bit before I have to change my oil. At 600 now and planned on changing at 1000. Hopefully we get a true confirmation prior to that or I might drag it to...
I'm not picking as many up as expected on the road, even in road construction areas. But I have a few times, the rock rails didn't prevent everything and did have a rock hit the door. I put some flaps on to help protect the paint. They come off easy enough.
The car manufacturers are just trying to ensure that all cars are camo with the pavement. Just going to be a lot of floating running and brake lights out there.
Yeah I get that point of view. I kind of like it though, I don't have to disengage it when I get back in the car to leave. Just tap the gas and it's moving. But convenience is traded with something like a piece of plastic breaking off.
I was also around a 6/9 build date. Also on the old incorrect dipstick. Though oil is well above the max mark so I'm guessing the factory put in 7. I'll probably change the oil earlier than normal just to have peace of mind knowing exactly 7 goes in.
You can pickup forscan and one of the recommended devices. With forscan you can add sport mode and make other changes you can't via the settings.
There are also some devices that are sold that change the accelerator curve...but sport mode changes a bit more than just the accelerator curve.
Sounds like a fun trip. Would love to tag a long with a group sometime. Newer to offroading though, had a 2wd f150 for the last 16 years so never bothered to do anything much more than easy.
Thanks guys.
I had about 90 miles on it so far. It did sit about 3 weeks though from build to delivery. I just took it out on the highway again to get up to 80. Seems to be smoother feeling at 70-80 than 50-60. It felt better than yesterday so maybe the tires did have a flat spot that is...
Just picked up my Bronco (badlands Sasquatched) late last week. Had it on the interstate for the first time yesterday and noticed some decent vibrations in the car and the steering wheeling having some shaking back and forth. This started around 55 mph and got a little better at 65+ but was...
I took mine home today...still In Transit according to the tracker. Oddly enough, I was the first person to mention the price protection stuff to a relatively high volume dealer. Not sure if I believed them or a ton of people just never really researched stuff. Really enjoying it so far though.
I think I slightly prefer rounded, but the square look good to me too. Also I kinda like the look of MIC over mod which is probably unpopular. Don't love the shiny black, though it does look more expensive.
Just got a text from the dealer that the bronco came in this morning. Heading out there this evening to pick it up. Ford gave an original eta of 7/4 - 7/10, dealership gave eta of 7/2. So came in a tad early.
