Yep, SAS from the factory.
As far as the steering components are concerned, you both make valid points. I've waffled back and forth about the tie rods, I've only seen only other thread where someone was planning to do this same combo.
I may actually do just do the bushings, return the Icons...
It's just a resizable one off Amazon, link below. I wasn't brave enough to cut the RTR mat it came with. This one works well, though it's a soft material rather than the rigid mould of weathertech/RTR.

Yep! Though I'm not sure how many they do each year, certainly less than 50. I keep meaning to follow up with them and figure out how many they've made each year.
Thanks! I'm quite happy with it! I hit a deer in my last truck so I wanted a bit more protection from them and branches.
The install wasn't the easiest, the mounting holes didn't line up exactly, but I found that leaving the entire assembly loose (specifically the horizontal braces) rather...
I would if I could! Unfortunately (or fortunately for me), it's an actual numbered RTR bronco, so I didn't purchase any of the parts, RTR did the build. So I don't have any of the stock parts, no idea what RTR did with them.
Hey All,
Starting this thread to track progress on my "build," though I'm hesitant to call it a build compared to many of the others here.
My wife and I currently reside in MO but take trips out to CO 2-3 times a year to see her family, camp, and off-road (not to mention what we do here...
Changed my rear diff, front diff, and transfer case this past weekend due to the advice in this thread (also added the ford performance cover). I'm the 2nd owner, at about 27k miles. Rear diff magnetic drain plug had a fair amount of metal from the break in, as others have shown. Highly...
I've got a set of KR Off-Road triple fog light brackets for sale, some minor marring on the driver side bracket as I attempted an install a few times (pictured), passenger side is brand new. These brackets wont work for me as I have RTR endcaps and I cannot return them due to the marring. Went...
Ah, just stumbled on this thread - wish I would have seen it sooner. I tried the KR Off-road brackets with my RTR and it does not fit. I'll be ordering the JCR ones now.
Just ordered my 8yr, 100k mile premiumcare, extremely happy.
For those that may not understand why this is such a big deal - my purchasing dealer wanted over $4,500 to get a 48k mile, 48 month premiumcare warranty. With Granger, my cost was less than half that for over double the coverage.
I can't recommend the AT3Ws enough... just not specifically to improve ride quality.
As others have said, changing the tire on a SAS isn't going to improve ride quality, especially a noticeable amount. These body-on-frame vehicles will always have a rougher ride, particularly if you're used to...
Lurker now an official member! Traded my 21 RAM 1500 Rebel for this 22 Black Diamond RTR (#27) with SAS a week ago, absolutely loving it!
Never had a "fun" color vehicle before, only white and black, really happy with velocity blue.
Already started some additional mods (previous owner did...
