i usually tell dealers not to do anything to my cars re: marketing-wise. I did not get to tell this dealer, but thankfully they did nothing to the vehicle - no stickers, didn't attach the front license plate holder, etc. the did install one of their license plate brackets over the temp plate but...
I am in NJ and it went by train to just outside Philly and then by truck up the turnpike to my dealer. Not sure what allowed me to get it so quickly (roughly 4 months to the day between initial order and delivery) but i did try to stay away from the big issues (that i was aware of at the time)...
went with 4-dr because even though my need for full-family drives is dwindling (1 graduated & moved to VA, 1 just graduated and still at home but not always around) i felt the difference in the back seat was worth it for general comfort at reasonable increase in MSRP
if you look at the spreadsheet at the beginning of this post it appears only about 13 people (myself included) have taken delivery of those on this forum, but that info could be stale. However, as you read thru this thread you will see a lot of people are still waiting
builtright industries - no drill, connects right to the existing bolt on the bumper. i chose the passenger side but there is another bolt on the driver side. bracket and plate allow you to move the location around (can move it left, right, higher, lower)
I'm in NJ and my vehicle went thru OH, PA, MD, and then back to PA where it was offloaded near Philly (Twin Oaks). Approx. 1 week on train but that included a weekend in which it seemed to sit in OH
A few cosmetic changes made last night: BuiltRight front plate bracket; stubby antenna (also BuiltRight) and custom tire cover with graphics from my son & ordered from Four Wheel Covers
