Honestly I'd rather have a decent spot to keep my phone in place while I'm driving around. Pretty useless if you ask me. I'll probably just shut it off, so my phone doesn't get as hot as Mordor's volcano.

The case I'm using is very thin, so that shouldn't be an issue. I have a four hour road trip coming up next week. I'll let the phone die and charge while off on the trip down. On the way back I'll charge from low battery with the phone on. I'll record the times. Ha I'm a nerd.

I had PPF installed on my Bronc from a local shop I've done some business with. $2400 and they guarantee their work for the life of the vehicle. They did a great job. I had them do everywhere but the rear door. That price included window tint and the interior door sills.

When I worked at the Ford dealer, the Explorer ST I would cruise around charged my phone fairly well. A little disappointed but it is what it is I suppose.

I will try turning Android auto off on my next little road trip and see how it does.

I had to have some heat as well for cold winters. I'm glad this wasn't a deciding factor, more of an added bonus... if it worked well lol

Sounds like this is normal then. I didn't want to have to take it to a dealer. I just figured the wireless charger would have been a little better than my 2016 Tacoma, but it's the same experience. Hot phone and no decent charge. Almost makes me want to turn it off.

I have the Lux package in my Badlands which includes the wireless charger. My phone was running a little low on battery before leaving the house, but hey my Bronco has a wireless charger. I went for a couple hour drive and it literally only went up about 10% in battery life. I wasn't running any...

I went Lux package for sound system, heated seats and wireless charger. The B&O is pretty good. I'm a rock and roll/ heavy metal type person and it is great for this style of music. My wife likes hip hop and such. Our Jeep does a better job for that type of music. It could be a little better...

Congrats on the Bronco, it looks good. Lots of peeps on this forum are Debby downers, do your own thing. You paid for it anyways.

I had ppf installed when I had my Bronco wrapped. I'm most likely going to add the sill plates to give it a little style. It's like double wrapping 😉

I have yet to put my soft top all the way back due to not having ppf or fuzzy velcro installed yet...
