The key hidden in the FOB is to unlock the door……that is the only thing it is for……there is no “key hole” under the start button…….if the FOB battery is dead you put the FOB in the indent in the bottom of the center console and the truck will start.
They “recommend” you air down but as far as I can find there is no “ordinance” that “requires” you to air down. I’ve been driving on the beaches of OBX since 1982 and the idea that they would pass an “ordinance” that requires you to air down is not only absurd but exactly how would it be...
@Orf Ordinance? Where? And do they now have the “tire pressure” police going around randomly checking tire pressure? Pretty sure your neighbor is messing with you!
You guys air down? Why? I never air down unless I start to experience “difficulty” in driving…….with light weight vehicles like the Bronco airing down for sand driving in OBX is really not necessary…….been driving out there for going on 40 years and only ever air down if I’m in my F250 diesel...
Um……if you are out driving your Bronco or getting ready to drive it you have the key fob on you…….so not really sure why you need another way to unlock the remaining doors whether it be the rear doors on a 4 door or the rear gate on a real Bronco! 😃
They already have that with the MIC top…..we have that and the top doesn’t just “come off”……doors either…..it’s nuts and bolts and 2 people and all that…….and please don’t confuse the off road abilities between the Sport and the Bronco…….they do not compare.
We did exactly that 2 weeks ago! It was great…..the third road back in is quite the goat path in spots so was lots of fun zipping around…..and all of them showed up on the nav screen!
We just got back from OBX and didn’t air down at all…….but we also were driving up in Corolla Beach area and not around Avon/Hatteras point where it is really soft…….but up in back roads/trails of North Corolla the sand was soft in areas and the Bronco just powered on thru…..
