  1. Ordering Process

Hardly anyone else understands the allocation process either. No one knows how many can be built or how many to build or the build schedule until after the March 19th end date for 2021 conversion and Ford then determines resources and scheduling.
  2. 7/14 reservation and have been told I'm 2022. Is Ford Production forecasts this poor for '21?

Remember also: the allocations given so far are preliminary. A dealer shouldn't be trying to tell you what your chances of getting a MY2021 Bronco are at this time. No one knows how many will go to each dealer. No one knows how many reservations will be converted to orders. No one know how many...
  3. 6 Generations of Bronco Evolution: Styling, Performance, Size, Price

The presentation reads like it was done over there somewhere what with the different units for HP and TQ.
  4. 6 Generations of Bronco Evolution: Styling, Performance, Size, Price

The 302 V8 is actually closer to 4.9L not 5.0L. Ford called it 5.0L to distinguish it from the 300ci I6 which they listed as 4.9L.
  5. Can dealers order units for their customers in whatever order they choose.

Dealer orders are only part of what determines when a Bronco is built. I don’t think Ford would do that because it screws up the whole system.
  6. Pricing aside— why choose one dealer over another for reservation & order?

The best one to go through is the one you feel comfortable with. Talk to someone at each and see if you think they are being honest and fair with you.
  7. Compared to a Defender - some general thoughts and concerns.

You'd have to be stupid to listen to him. I still wouldn't buy it though.
  8. $500 Additional Required Ford deposit - Coming at order time!

It has already been made clear that any additional deposit is to be determined by the dealer. Ford is not going to be requiring any additional deposit.
  9. Concerns about Tachometer on Manual

I started on a manual beetle so no tach there. Iā€˜ve also owned a Mazda 323 GTX with digital circus gauge. Fun to look at. When it was new. Almost never used it to shift. So, like many others, what the tach looks like doesn’t matter. Also, remember, we haven’t really seen what the dash looks...
  10. Factory Wheel Arch Extension Kit , Rock Rails, Roof Rack Cross Bar, Cargo Liner -- Installation Instruction Images & Part Numbers

According to Ford when they introduced the Bronco that said the rails will support the weight of the entire vehicle.
  11. Is the towing capacity really that bad?

Except it has a 2" receiver with a 7 pin and a 4 pin connection and trailer sway control built in. Unusual or a class II hitch.
  12. Had to drive the 2.3

Remember the final drive ratio is different in the Bronco. With the manual it is 4.46:1 which will make it much quicker than the Explorer. With the 10A it will be at 3.73 or depending on the model 4.27 or 4.46 or with Sasquatch 4.70. All of those will be quicker than the Explorer with its 3.58...
  13. 35's vs 33's any big differences?

    But only 1" more clearance.
  14. two door - any chance they stop producing in the next few years?

Ford is ending production of sedans because fewer and fewer are being sold. That's it.
  15. Black Diamond vs Big Bend?

I have BB reserved but after adding options it was only $100 less than BD. I’d rather have the MGV seats so I’ll switch when I order. Only adding sound insulation and tow package to 2Dr.
  16. 2021 Bronco BUILD & PRICE Configurator Is Finally Live (For Real)!! Share your build inside.

All I added was towing and sound deadening to 2D man Black Diamond.
  17. Black Diamond Bronco Thread

I don't think that's what that means. The advanced system can lock the front and rear axles together just like they would be with the manual 4WD. It is not a locker for either differential. That's a seperate option. Its more like an advanced All-Wheel drive system that switches to normal four...
  18. Which power train won't be a lemon?

Getrag operates a joint venture with Ford headquartered in Cologne, Germany. That is not all of Getrag though. They have two other joint ventures with Chinese manufacturers and also supply drivetrain parts for many other companies. According to Wikipedia.
  19. How many Fords have you owned in the past?

    1998 F250 351 super cab 8 foot bed 2wd 2000 something Focus - meh 2016 F350 6.7 crew cab 6’9ā€ bed 4wd
  20. Which dealership are you using?

I've reserved through Best Ford in Nashua. I bought an F350 and my stepson bought an F350 from them and they have treated us well so far. Both vehicles over 80,000 miles so there is some history. I have to see how the discounts shake out though. Best has said they will honor MSRP.
