I can see the conversation at the dealer now..
Me: I see the Bronco comes in over 11 colors, and more combos when you consider the roof colors!
Dealer: Yes, White, Grey, Black!
Me: But that's not eleven...
Dealer: Yes, White, Grey, Black!
Me: But...
Dealer: WHITE. GREY. BLACK.
Me: (heads...
I call somewhat BS on that.. If the only colors on the lots are Black and Silver, what are people gonna buy? Most people won't order, so it's a self-fulfilling prophecy to say that no one wants actual colors, so we aren't going to put them on the lots.
Ok, now you just triggered me.. accuracy, plus availability.
A while back before WW3/Covid/Protests/GiantMeteor I was looking at possibly getting a GMC Acadia in the copperish color that they apparently use only on every 6th monday of the month. In doing a search that spanned ~1500...
Yeah, I do want power for hills and such. I don't need fabulous gas mileage, at least with the new situation, but I do need an improvement over the Ridgeline. (The Ridgeline has an annoying thing in stop and go traffic where it does AWD and then switches on each start after you get going...
If you look at the orange that shows up in the Bronco Sport leaks, it sits squarely in between this one that's overprocessed for the dark, and the spy drone that's washed out and covered in dust.. Those Sport leaks, especially the one that shows the doorframe, is probably the closest to reality.
Like the detail in the guy's blue hat, it's so downsampled.. and then upsampled.. no info at all.. could be a very severe crop.. may be why only one guy (maybe) noticed the drone...
Knowing what I know with Photoshop, this looks like an extreme low rez drone that was upsampled and resmoothed. No resharpening is gonna fix this mess, just not enough detail to work with.
I'm probably going with the orange, unless there's a green I really like (or unless the orange is tied to a trim package I don't want).
I wouldn't want the full vehicle in the gray, but it's not bad with the two-tone with the roof white or darker.
Yeah, if the WFH remains that way, I may considering fleeing the state as well, perhaps to the Albq/Santa-Fe area. Which means the big boy might be the better choice.. :D
Yeah, but likely that logistics is preventing going forward. Better to let the date pass by a few days..
Everyone needs to remember that we still won't be able to buy it for quite a few months.. so 4 day change for a reveal doesn't really matter.
That's been Toyota's thing for a while.. Tonka truck on the FJs, and the swol overgrown look on the trucks and 4Runner. They get a lot of sales, but partially because there's not as much competition in the class.
