It’s very tempting to throw a ton of money at this thing as soon as I take delivery to paint the top and grill white, buy the wheels, etc. I really dig the stock look for my future Badlands too. Torn, but I must resist. The retro style could be an excellent way to give it a new (old) look in...

I wonder if it would be possible to put a dog dish hub cap on that wheel. Would then be perfect for that 1968 look. Paired with a white top of course ;)

I once needed a USB connection on my dash for a GPS. Had Geek Squad at Best Buy do it. They did a fantastic job.

Back in the early ‘80’s I had a Toyota 4X4 Pickup. Whenever I went off road I would lock the hubs on the front wheels. I always assumed I wasn’t in four wheel drive unless I did. It’s been so long. Maybe a foundational misunderstanding on my part?

2-Door, 2.7, 10-Spd, 33” M/T, AMB, Lux for me. The weeks keep ticking by. My reservation is dated 7/14. Wish I could fast forward to June of ‘21. Would be amazing if by some miracle it showed up sooner.

[EDIT] IMHO, your analogy doesn’t hold water. It’s not like a caliper “cover” is trying to fool anyone more than a hub cap covering a plain steel wheel. To each his own, though...

Thanks for the help there! My aging eyes ain’t what they used to be. We can check calipercovers.com in about 6 months and they should have options for us according to their owner. This looks a lot less complicated than disassembling and painting ;)

I mentioned this in the Badlands thread - if you did yellow brake calipers it would bring the exterior together with the yellow accent on the inside (as well as the BL badge).

Call it what you will. The CG MIC top is like a chameleon, IMHO. Plenty of contrast with AMB which works well for my taste.
