Good thing they acknowledged this so you folks don't have to try to convince your dealer there is a problem. My dealer could not replicate it a few times until they finally had me in the shop to point it out. You may not know you have this problem if you don't take your top off, that is the...
Just catching up here, what is the status? Did they find the problem? What does dropped oil and cut filter mean? Did you determine if your knock increases with rpm like cmecatchu2s or is it a constant speed?
I’m looking for interior plastic protection recommendations also. The cheesy plastic scratches easy and the embedded dirt is impossible to get out.
I will also be ceramic coating and was thinking a clear bra type ppf on the front but I like your approach with the front end. I will look into that.
RB are you a patent attorney? That’s a lot of info.
IMO Ford missed an opportunity to create another icon with Warthog, but they still have that opportunity with a future model so maybe they will do something with it. I would rather it have been a Warthog than a Raptor. I think to an extent...
I think Ford trademarked Warthog. I wonder if they would try to squash it. I like the idea. I didn't mind this decal but it doesn't bother me that they discontinued it. Some kind of Warthog graphics would be cool.
Hey @flip, could you possibly help out with this info?
Also, would you have the torque specs for the underbody shields (or skid plates). The shop manual shows the underbody shields listed at 22lbs/ft under the engine oil change section and 124lbs/ft under the body/paint/front end body...
This sounds like some serious dealer bs to me. Get more info from the dealer and contact the fluid film installer and ask them about making a claim. Then let them two fight it out.
No not the same. Those blown engines were ‘21s.
Sorry to hear your engine woes. That EG sure is pretty through. Did the knock speed increase with engine speed’
Yes they had a small hose inside a bigger hose. It was in quite a ways like maybe 5 feet give or take. It was a bitch to get it out i had to hold the flaps open or it bit into the tubing. Thankful they didn’t drill the tank.
So something has bothered me a few days and I'm hoping someone can shed light on the workings of the anti-siphon technology and vents/screens/etc in the fuel filler neck. Things have been really hectic and the other day I came home and interrupted some kids trying to siphon gas out of my...
Thanks Flip. I was wondering this too. I used anti-seize on the bolts and torqued them to 15lbs. which would be @70% of the torque specs. I think that is pretty spot on with anti-seize. I didn't know the specs and had to feel around what I thought was sufficient. With anti-seize the bolts...
