I never suggested it made things worse, just couldn't see the advantage...still can't. It's not like the aftermarket short shifters are free... I guess the real disadvantage is to your wallet. 😅
Again, given the subject vehicle here, I'll take the leverage & ergonomics over a slightly quicker...
lol... given the torque profile on an FI engine, and an off-road focused vehicle, you're really reaching there...no pun intended...😅
I'll stick with my original analogy, until I hear a better suggestion.
Honest question: Why would someone want a short(er) throw shifter on a Bronco? Seems counter-intuitive... like putting a longer throw on your Mustang GT... 🤔
I bought my '24 model in August of '25, it had been on the lot a long time (16 months?) Shockingly, it still only had 9 miles when I picked it up. I guess no one wanted an orange 2Dr Sas.... 🤔
For anyone who thinks this is "early", check the Ford severe service maintenance schedule... 😉 (the way most of us drive our Broncos, most of us should be following the severe schedule...)
Nope....I have a 22 Maverick, 24 Mach-E, and 24 Bronco.....I've been getting recall letters in the mail every week for 4 years....🤣 I can't believe Farley still has an office...
Definitely check the top, but it's not the widespread kiss of death some make it out to be... odds are it will be fine.

lol... I was the same way, wanted a Gladiator when it came out, thought it was so cool, which it is... then I went for a test drive....😳
That fantasy evaporated rather quickly...😂
OP, you seem to have the means... while you are waiting for Ford to respond, just fix it yourself, or an independent shop, and keep going. A clutch R&R is no big deal, maybe you will find something in the process. Document everything for future resolution with Ford.
You can turn this into as...
Interesting first post....
Something here is not adding up...
Is it the selling dealer that denied warranty? You purchased new? The pictures are your parts? I can't see how you could destroy a clutch that badly in 900 miles, from only driving like grandpa, it just doesn't happen.
All Ford had to do was copy/paste Select-Shift from the F-series, which is fantastic. But no, some F'ing moron decided he/she needed to justify his/her job, and F it up for the Bronco....🤬
Totally agree.... the information available is pretty good, but the execution & layout are pathetic. Was a 6-year-old in charge?? The Bronco meter design chief should be fired.
