I had a 2012 FJ (regret selling it) and my only input is that FJ is much easier to work on and the entire SUV is just simpler to deal with. So, based on simplicity of the mechanics, no turbos, and less electronics I would almost bet Bronco will not come close to the reliability you would have...
I'm not black and lately (in the last couple of years) every dealership I've walked into has been the same. Mostly ignored as they were busy closing other sales.
Getting your money has nothing to do with you color. It's the attitude of sales people and I've noticed it more in...
I really don't think there are ANY specialists or experts in any particular model for the high volume mass production cars/suvs. There are many who claim they are SMEs or specialist for a particular model, but I'm 200% sure they don't know as much as us who look into all the ins/outs of every...
There are certain options like those in LUX PKG that are available on Wildtrack and not Big Bend.
They sort of force you into Wildtrack if you want those options.
I'm with you. It always happens to me after I buy something big. A better model or options come out and I wish I would have waited to get the better features.
There are certain things that I want for my Bronco that aren't available yet. The only one that is the closest to what I want is the...
The Consumer Reports survey said. “Owners reported numerous transmission replacements, along with drive system, in-car electronics, power equipment and engine and body hardware issues.”
I don't think people take the Explorer out for four wheeling, but yet they've had these issues...
True to some point, but the Jeep Wrangler for example was also rated poorly and one of the most unreliable SUVs. It wasn't because of how people treated them or how they used them. They are just unreliable even on the road and good luck to those customers who have to take them to Jeep dealers...
CNET recently mentioned Consumer Reports reliability scores for SUVs.
This year Ford was at the bottom of the list due to Escape and Explorer models and their recalls.

Suzuki Jimmy is like a pocket version of Bronco and there are many similarities in the way they look, but this one is pretty cool.
Here's a Suzuki Jimmy with a Bronco inspired body kit:

It's another way to get you sign up (or hope) for another monthly subscription. Everything seems to be going to subscription base. Nobody seems to be satisfied with a one time payment anymore. So, I guess if I had the option to avoid subscription (as in this case), then I'd rather do that...
I would wait a couple years for better options, rebates and discounts, but please don't settle for a Jeep.
I had a JL Rubicon and I will never get a Jeep again. I didn't have any problems with the Jeep (other than bad frame welds and constant steering corrections on freeway) when I sold it...
To upgrade later, It looks as if the entire dash around the head unit is one piece, so it would probably involve some cutting of the dash around the bezel. Possible, but any upgrade will probably be around $1K or more.
I'm glad I'm not the only one confused. The $695 option is the only optional equipment that I can add for the audio system. It says "Available" with 12" LCD touch screen, but there's no other optional add on to select to get that.
If the $700 is just for connected "built in" navigation, then...
Does anyone know for sure if the $695 option for " SYNC®4 with Enhanced Voice Recognition, LCD Capacitive Touchscreen with Swipe Capability and Connected Build-In Navigation System" includes the larger 12" display head unit?
It's the highest upgrade available for $695, but it's not clear if the...
