I run without a top all spring/summer and just park in the garage when it rains. I want this to keep the sun off me. As much as mesh tops advertise they protect you from the sun, they really don't that much.
My only complaint about them is lateral traction.
p.s. I don't mind the noise they make. On the highway it sounds like a P-51 Mustang coming and can be heard from miles away.
I had lots of clicks and creaks after installing the ARB under vehicle protection kit and DV8 lower control arm skids. The solutions was to put a bead of silicone caulk any place that the skids were contacting the frame/control arms. It sounds crazy but it worked.
Having snapped an axle shaft myself, the most infuriating thing is not being able to keep it in 4WD and having to get towed the rest of the trail.
I wonder if pulling fuse #29 would actually keep it in 4WD in these scenarios.
My story is below. Looking for the location and possibly wiring diagram for the AWD module as either a faulty module or loose connection can cause my symptoms. I'd like to check the connector for loose wires and maybe use some dielectric grease to see if that helps.
Long story short, we were...
Still holding up well. I do need to remove 2-3 of the plates in order to do an oil change which is a pain but at most it's only twice a year.
I've hit something hard enough with the front skid to bend it slightly but I'll hammer that back out again.
Only other comment I have is that there's...
I'm also getting this with Android Auto w/ Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. It just started happening a couple weeks to a month ago. If I'm listening to music and the seatbelt/door chimes, I get this horrible rapid stuttering noise through the speakers. Or sometimes when shifting to/from reverse when...
Welp, my turbos may be shot as well. Just over 2 years since we took delivery and during a drive down the highway I noticed that the Bronco was hesitating during passing and on hills. Then the Bronco threw a code and I got a strong scent of turnips (like propane). When I got home I checked the...
I've had my own run in with the "nannies". I broke a front axle shaft wheeling and I was not able to make it out of the trail myself as the Bronco would not stay in 4WD so it was 2WD and tow straps for me.
Yeah I'm going to do a little testing myself, which will probably include removing the front wheel spacers and a tire rotation to see if anything changes.
Long story short, we were wheeling and broke the passenger front axle shaft. Dealership replaced the axle shaft under warranty.
Ever since then we've had a vibration in 4WD when the front tires are under load. I test this by putting it in 4A and accelerating to get power to the front wheels...
