Cool stories, that I know I can't top.
I'll probably just go straight home, park it in my garage, and go over everything from connecting my phone to removing the top and doors. Then I'll just drive it around everywhere making sure to take the long way to my destinations.
There is no were...
As a former Jeep JK owner, I've been wanting to get back into this type of vehicle. My plan was to get another Wrangler, and I didn't give the Bronco much thought, because I wasn't sure when Ford would release it.
My first SUV was a 96 Ford Explorer sport. I really enjoyed it, but had wanted...
From my limited understanding, the Jeep engine right before the current one was the engine with the issues. I talked to some Jeeps guys at my job before buying my Wrangler, and the consensus was that the 2014 to present V6 in the Wrangler was reliable. I had no issues with my JK Wrangler, but...
Very cool to watch. I too, cringed when I heard the screeching on the skid plates. I've watched these videos in the past, and don't remember seeing anything less than a Rubicon or heavily modified Jeep or other vehicles run this trail.
I think Ford knows what they're doing.
I really enjoy watching the rock-crawling videos, watched a lot of them when I had my Jeep.
I doubt I will ever do anything that challenging in my new Bronco, maybe later in a heavily modified used Jeep, or even Bronco after I've had it awhile.
I mainly want to go somewhere with mud, lose...
I never kept anything of value in my wrangler when I left it parked with the top opened and windows down. If I ever did that, it was somewhere were I knew I would be in and out of quickly.
It was also a manual sport model, with very very few bells & whistles.
I do see Jeeps parked with the...
Good point. I've seen videos with stock Jeeps going on trails right behind the Rubicons. The big difference was the stock Jeeps had a tougher time in spots, but they still did it. The drivers definitely had something to do with it, but I was still impressed.
I drove my JK 2DR. Wrangler at 80 on the HWY. It wasn't like driving my bimmer but not that bad. I've even drove with the top opened up (sun rider portion).
The 2DR Bronco with the hardtop I suspect will be even better.
I'm going with the 2dr Bronco, but have had thoughts about the 4DR.
I'm opposite to many here in that I've always liked the 2dr. Jeep wrangler over the 4 dr. I like it for the same reasons some of you said you like the 2DR. Bronco, that classic Jeep look. I've actually always liked the look of...
This is an age old debate lately among car enthusiast. I didn't read through the entire thread, so I'm sure this was mentioned. For me it's just fun to row through the gears.
I have a BMW M2 which is a 7 speed dual-clutch. It's a good gearbox for traffic, the track, and can even be fun in...
I was thinking about some of the old original Bronco configurations seen in videos. I wonder if they plan to offer a Bronco in the future with no backs seat and a bed, almost like a little truck.
That could be a reason they didn't make the back seats removable.
The aux switches are nice in case you want to add accessories in the future. I definitely will be getting those. I just hope they're a standalone option, and not packaged with something else like Jeep does.
It does seem odd that Ford would leave this feature out. The 2DR. Bronco seats are designed differently than Jeep - with each seat being separate - so I can see how it may take a little more design ingenuity, but could have been done IMO.
My JK Wrangler's backseat was one whole piece and very...
I can't speak for other people, but It's not causing me fatigue at all. I've spent a lot of my internet time on a BMW forum, and joining this forum has been fun, and somewhere else to visit during this pandemic.
When I had my Wrangler, I joined a Wrangler forum but never really got into it...
It wasn't too bad IMO. A lot of stuff they mentioned that were advantages for the Jeep doesn't affect my personnel buying decision, but I can see how it could for some hardcore off-road people. The aftermarket support is very good for Jeep, I have to concede that.
I had a 2015 bare bones Jeep...
