I think something is wrong with the Tirerack posted weight for the GY 315/70R17 Territory MT. How can it be 3 lbs. heavier with it being a C load tire than GY Duratracs that are D load tires? We’ll have to wait and see, but 57lbs for those would be about right given the 285s are 51 lbs.
EDIT: Tirerack updated the specs. The post has been edited to reflect the correct data.
Seems both Goodyears are C rated.
33” KO2 51 lbs vs 33” GY 45lbs vs 35” GY 52lbs.
EDIT: The 285/70R17 Goodyear appears Not severe snow service rated (initial specs in Tirerack showed severe snow rating...
Not just Rolls-Royce. My 19’ Porsche Cayenne full leather interior has real leather even inside door cup holders and lower door trims. It was a 4.5k option, I think well worth the price compared to what you get with 5k Lux package for the Bronco.
Say you are #400 at your dealer, and the dealer gets 200 allocations for MY21.
This puts you into MY22, but will ford at least provide timeline or estimated production dates for those converted orders that would be pushed to MY22?
Not sure why everyone is hung up on charging infrastructure. I have owned an EV the last 2 years. Using it commute 120 miles daily, in addition to regular driving. Have been saving about $300 per month. Never needed a charging station, have only charged at home.
I guess the 3.0 EcoBoost is based on the 2.7 block, except the 3.0 is cast aluminum vs the compacted-graphite iron for the 2.7, based on this article. It appears 2.7 was designed for more heavy duty or truck applications vs the 3.0, which powers the current Lincoln line up...
Casting is casting (casting into a mold) and forging is forging (forging from a solid piece of aluminum) no matter where it is done. That was my understanding.
...and flow forging is actually casting into a mold while the mold is spinning. Now this has a trick forge name in it, but it is...
Thank you for the clarification! This makes me really happy, I will change my spec to the optional wheel.
To me “dicastal” seemed to be short for die cast aluminum. Who would have thought? LOL
I too had heard the Bronco brand manager mentioning that the Badlands optional wheel was forged.
Initial information from Ford was that Sasquatch and optional Badlands wheels will be forged. However, the newer information for the wheels does not specify that. Also, these recent spec photos from the optional Badlands wheel and Sasquatch wheel indicate they are cast aluminum.
Does anyone...
I had LT E-load rated Cooper AT3s (XLT) and C-load rated Wildpeak AT3/w. E-load is a more rugged tire than c-load, but Coopers are significantly lighter.
comparing passenger light load rated Cooper 4s tires to LT c-rated Wildpeaks is hardly fair.
please compare E load rated Cooper AT3 XLT tire...
As we are waiting for package option prices, I just read some possible good news. Take this as you will, but, leather seats + bunch of more options in Bronco Sport Badpands package with B/O audio is $2500 option. This could be an indication on what prices will be for the bad boy.
Thank you so much for the post and the find, I somehow had missed the chart. This nails it.
In terms of load ratings, Falken Wildpeak will be 5-12 pounds heavier per tire, in the sizes we are considering. Example is Wildpeak 285/70R17 SL 51.5 lbs
Cooper At3 285/70R17 SL 45 lbs
Have not heard of these before. Good looking tires! Will look into them.
Wildpeak is just too heavy, 8 lbs unsprung mass per wheel can make a huge difference the way the truck responds to input, accelerated and stops. I personally went from 63 lbs Wildtrak (C load) to 51 lbs Cooper at3 (E...
Of course Bronco Raptor could be the answer. It may not be so hard to produce a few cars with the current Raptor engine or put a 5.0 GT500 engine in it, the latter could make this a true desert runner with few more suspension tricks. Say long travel King (I can only dream).
And since dreaming...
