Ok. I guess I am in over my head here. I got the kicker key 500.1 kit from plugnplaykits. I have the power run to the battery and can probably figure out which plug in the b&o amp the kit goes in, but how do I connect to the sub itself? I thought by plug in play it would be ready, but nothing...
Picked up the plugnplay key 500.1 for my kicker comp r 8” sub as well. No clue how to wire it, beyond I grasp running a power wire to the battery. Before I tackle this, how straightforward is plugging everything into the b&o and key amps and the sub? Not super proficient at amp wiring. Got the...
Ladies and gents,
There seems to be a lot of options out there discussing the mObridge full dsp/a2b replacement amp/kit/whathaveyou, but I haven't seen much on anyone adding an amp (from plugnplaykits) that uses the standard processor and adds an amp to the system.
I have replaced the 3 dash...
So I didnt need to mask anything off as I removed the rings and sprayed them separately. But in the past when I dipped wheels, I found that a deck of playing cards tucked between the tire and the rim worked really well. Just need to put bags behind the wheels to keep it off the brake/hub/etc.
Here’s the finished product on the other wheels. It’s very subtle, almost like I just blacked out the rings, but from certain angles the bronze shows up.
I think I vote for the velco mat option, but I could probably be talked into the bolt down method. I have put some sound deadening down, so I worry the velcro might not like it.
Basically you just need to to remove the vehicle from the tuner and app before you uninstall, which was done. It’s ready to log into a new vehicle. Let me know if you are interested. I haven’t made an effort to sell it recently, just been too busy, but it has been stored in my shop and is still...
Been thinking about a bronze wheel for my shelter green raptor. Had this in my garage from a previous project. Just tried it on the spare for now, but kinda dig it! Has a metallic flake in it like shelter green, but is a very dark bronze. Also redid the bolts as they were fading, haven’t...
I did this exact upgrade over the weekend. I would say it is slightly better. Had the top off when I initially turned it on and tested and was kind of bummed it wasn't great, but once I put the top back on and I guess sealed the cabin, it does sound better. I think I am still going to look...
I had mine on the xbrace in the back. It was just “ok”. I had it on my spare in the badlands, but was hoping inside would work. I just didn’t like how washed out it was. Just moved it to a KC lites spare tire light kit. It is perfect again. I’ll just deal with the weather. Here it is.
I swear I tried to search, but it seems like most people either added an amp in between or didn’t describe the wiring for taking out the stock b&o sub and adding a kicker.
For someone who hasn’t done a ton of wiring, can anyone tell me if I can just clip the existing wires (and what color to...
Love the product, had it in for several weeks, very solid and quiet. Interested in picking up a mat when it comes out. I have some black sound deadening liner I am installing this weekend, hopefully that will just be under the mat. Only non-positive feedback I could give is there is a typo on...
I might look into cutting the stock floor so it fits between the rails and gorilla taping it under the trail deck. While my bronco is darker color, it still pokes my OCD to see all that unfinished metal back there.
I purchased mine at the same time, but it is still in boxes (with the door cart also) in my shed waiting for a couple of days above 60*.... thanks for the review, makes me feel better about buying, and a little less worried about it being still boxed up 2 months later.
