It’s bolted through the steel frame. My old Jeep commander had a hide a hitch that connected the same way. I paid 100 bucks for it and it bolted on through existing holes. I’m hoping the bronco at least comes with a break controller.

Multiple reasons. I could go on for a while. Main reasons is that China notoriously generates poor quality products, has very poor environmental protections, treats workers poorly, and has no respect for intellectual property. I avoid made in China when I can.
