Sure. Does any OEM produce this? None at all. Even the 'bison' version of the colorado zr2 does not even have a hoop for the center of the vehicle.
It's a lot easier to build a stinger than a whole brush bar/bumper replacement.
Anyways my point is radiator protection will always trump...
What's more important from a deer strike? Headlights or cooling? You will almost always have damage from collision with an animal. I'd rather have the hoop (or preferably a mild stinger) with factory steel bumper then add 200# + winch of giant bumper.
There will be damage either way, it's...
Reviving this topic. Besides mileage, I have no idea why Ford continues to do this idiocy. Many have no problems with the IWE/vacuum lines/check valve but others. Dodge and Chevy run their hubs locked all the time.
There are millions of jeep 'mall crawlers' to include grand cherokees like...
Agree I'm leaning to this as well. BD mid 2.7 mic auto4wd
Was considering base with squatch 2.7 but would downsize to 33 anyways... If I could get auto 4wd with base I'd be considering that for the cheapness
I'm here right now.
BD 2.3 or 2.7 with MIC, auto4wd, automatic and mid (like the auto dim mirror, remote start, need heat with vinyl seats).
vs
Base Squatch (downsize to 33 or even 32 later), MIC, accessory switches, 2.3 or 2.7. Lose auto dim mirror, probably can be added, remote start (can...
Typically the barricade and others are slightly less finished, fit may be a little off, powder coat is shittier, etc but may not be worse than expensive ones trading on brand names.
The barricade and others are all made in china. Again this does not mean some of the big name ones are not.
Do these turbos (2.3/2.7) have issues with short stop and go driving or short trips? Obviously they have been out a while and long drives are better regardless but how much does this effect longevity compared to a naturally aspirated engine?
Does the oil continue to flow through the turbos...
Side note, did you have oil consumption issues in that 2.4L? Looking at 2.4L jeeps for my wife to replace her old hyundai.
Born and bred in WNY. Nice to see a fellow fan.
If a riser is added to the cargo area, would that allow for a relatively (i know the seats have a slight rise) flat load floor (all the way to the front seats) when the back seats are folded down?
Is ford building a riser? I presume the aftermarket will find a way to also charge $500 for this...
There will be oodles of options. Look at wrangler bumpers.
I'm looking for protection from animal strikes that can keep me running (radiator /cooling protection). There will always be damage from animal strikes (headlights fenders crash bar underneath etc) but a well placed stinger combined...
I was playing around and Base squatch vs BD Mid+4auto difference is 1500 or so.
Obviously Mid package adds a few things (but mainly adds automatic transmission for 'free').
But I could downsize squatch to 33s or 32s and add remote start on my own. Don't need heated seats with cloth seats...
