So, I asked this before, but has anyone gotten a check engine light on a stock or modded Bronco after install? I want one but I'm from the VW and Subaru world, which means any downpipe causes a CEL. Is this good to go?
Thanks, I do know about the relocation brackets, I meant is there a factory version of the intercooler bracket for Broncos without ACC that doesn't block the intercooler at all? Like, from a Base trim, for instance.
I have a Badlands Lux that'll be getting a Whipple FMIC soon, and in the instructions it describes adapting the ACC intercooler bracket to the new FMIC by removing grill shutters. That still leaves the ACC right in the middle of the FMIC, so I want to move it.
But, a lot of Broncos don't have...
I got these last year but finally got them applied, and asked for the yellow to be in the body grove instead of on top of it. I think it works really well with the black, and I love the gloss finish. Very happy with the retro look, they go great with my white shift knob! Thanks @Underground Graphics
I love the color, but it was on EVERY Bronco I saw for the first 2 years they were out. Some days I think my Shadow Black is boring, but at least it isn't that common. I like Eruption, and might've held out for a HPR or Carbonized, but I got a crazy interest rate 2 years ago and it was almost...
Does this cause a CEL? How many miles and drive cycles have these seen? Do you have any kind of logs or vehicle info like boost, EGT, timing, etc?
I'm just wondering because of emissions compliance and other stuff like that, since that's happened twice to me before.
One year update, I've used it pretty regularly and its really great, I used a super flex hose from Menards and a generic air chuck.
Does anyone have recommendations for a good air chuck? Mine is a cheapo and won't stay sealed, I want something that'll clip and hold on securely, and maybe even...
Here is the only pic I have, I pulled them off from the bottom, and they unhook. The catch is that when you put the seatcovers on, there is more material, so they don't just rehook easily. You have to "slide" them up and then lock them in at the bottom clips, but the thicker seat prevents this...
I feel like the ACTUAL fix is taking the clam off, then masking, sanding, and putting a few layers of fiberglass or another composite weave. A good material with proper resin would strengthen it, prevent cracks, and let you paint it without issue. I feel like just doing the sides would be fine...
