I’m getting a base 2 door with the manual transmission. The only option I intend on adding are the auxiliary switches.
Wish Ford offered an option for different wheels on the base but I’ll look to go aftermarket or find a used set off a higher model on marketplace.
Well that officially settles it for me. 2.3L and manual transmission.
Was starting to lean towards the 2.7L and auto for $1,895. Won’t pay the extra $1,495 for auto. Can’t believe Ford took so long to finally fix the prices on build and price.
If top production is causing the delay, Ford can build my Bronco first and ship it topless. I’ll worry about getting the top when winter comes.
I’m going with a base model as well. Although the savings aren’t as big as some of the higher end models, switching to Brewster would save us from any possible dealer markup/hidden fees. I reserved on 7/13 and have yet to hear anything from my dealer 3 miles down the road. I don’t have much...
I’d also be interested in a possible wheel/tire swap if a dealership would allow it. Worst part about the base for me is the wheels. Not a deal breaker though. I’m sure I’ll at least be able to find BB or Outer Banks takeoffs to hold me over until I really figure out which wheels will look best.
Also keep in mind that Stephen’s has a doc fee of $265 now that X-Plan isn’t being offered. So if my math is correct, they will be about $810 cheaper (excluding tax and financing) than Brewster. Depending on a persons location, it might not be worth the extra drive to WV.
I’m just glad we’ve got...
I think I’ll make the switch to Brewster as well. Their dealership is only about an hour from me. Going to hold off a little longer in case a below invoice dealer happens in our area. If not, I’m happy with invoice and low doc fees. Brewster also seems honest and responsive to all of our questions.
As a Buffalo Bills fan, I’m not sure mixing football and Broncos is the best combination.
With that being said..I will still probably order a white Bronco and deal with the endless OJ jokes.
I took a little heat earlier in the week in the locked B&P thread when I suggested October 23rd as a possible date for B&P to go live. The significance of the date is on October 23, 1963 the Ford planning committee recommended funds for further development of the Bronco.
I’m sure if Friday is...
October 23, 1963. Here is what I found on Ford’s website..
In 1962, Ford began to extensively survey Jeep and International Harvester Scout owners to see what they liked and disliked about their vehicles. These findings were summarized in an internal memo on July 11, 1963 noting that both...
Here is Mike Levine’s response to me asking him if there’d be any other options for the base besides the steel wheels. Looks like I may go Sasquatch or wait a few months and search for wheels off another trim (or maybe even Ranger).
