I've got the prompt volume maxed. I just turn waze on full sound directions, so when it talks is when I adjust. Normal music volume is 12ish with my amp, and I have prompt volume at like 28. Still sounds like a whisper. Nav is easier and longer to set prompt volume. It's gotta be something else
Anyone with the plug n play kits t harness have an issue with "prompt volume"? My music sound is fine, but the prompt volume is basically non existant. I can barely hear it like a whisper if I max the volume, but that's it.
I've tried to call them and get help, but no response as I think I...
I went with https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08PVVL5G4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Its now on my shelf as I've gotten my ordered Bronco and doing a full system with tailgate mount sub however.
Looks awesome. Is that the 13tw2-4? Kinda looks like it's the 13 eyeballing it, lol. Thats what I have coming for mine anyway.
How big was the pocket there for the tweeter? Plenty of room?
Did you end up needing to dynamat anything in the rear with the tailgate mount?
Completely understand. I'm usually an audiophile, but it's a Bronco at the end of the day. The Acoustics suck, and 90% of the time going to be open air, so I went a bit cheap and just did a $170 focal component set w/ Crossover for the dash, and just some focal rsx 6.5 in the rear. Granted I may...
Obviously I haven't tried, but I feel like the grill while a decent idea, is not big enough to house a 4" mid and the tweeter. The tweeter would 100% be OVER some part of the mid.
I digress though, give it a shot and report back. Those grills can't be that expensive to replace, lol
Yea thats a hell of a setup. If I didn't already have all my current focal stuff, I'd consider it, but I hate replacing whats not broken.
My amp is a PG 1300.5 I've had since like 2010 and has been in every vehicle I've owned, lol. Damn good amp considering it's still going strong 13 years...
Yea I actually already ordered their tweeter plates, before I saw them release the 3.5/tweet plates.
So then I thought well maybe I'll just leave my focal 4's in there, a pillar mount the tweeter, and rolllike that. I just wasn't sure if the sound quality with that setup would be worth it or...
Yea thats the whole point of the crossover with the component system. It ensures only highs are going to the tweeters.
My current 4" are running bass blockers as well anyway, so it's primarily highs only from them
Good point, although, theoretically, wouldn't the 4" tune as the amp/dsp is set too, and the components as the crossover is set?
Really not sure, never attempted to run things this way.
Has anyone left 4" in the dash (aftermarket of course, not stock), and run components with the tweeter in the A pillar? Do the tweeters overpower the 4"? Does it balance the sound or muddy it?
I was going to do tweeter plates in the 4" location, then thought about leaving the 4", and putting...
Yes. You need to reset the bcm and another module. Can't remember which other module. There is a thread on the step by step for changing tire size, or you can pull up a youtube video.
Edit: I think the other module is the 4x4 module, although I still can't remember the exact name offhand
Roger that. I may just leave it alone as I am going to amplify everything anyway within the next couple months anyway.
Plus I did 6.5" in the rear pods, so it's already 10 times louder without the mod
But I'll let you know if I find anything
