Gaia is a map. You add trails and layers on your own. One of the most useful layers are the National Forest Multi Vehicle Use Maps (MVUM). These show trails in the National forests. You can also get the subscription service and get things like NatGeo Trails Illustrated layers or download/upload...
I really like Avenza for dirt biking. However, once I started using Gaia, Avenza kinda died off. Gaia is super nice for already having the maps and layers. Avenza has a but of tools to use with though.
Connected GPS means it uses your phoneās GPS. You have CarPlay so Onx and Gaia will both...
I donāt know if he regeared with those 40s or what ever heās running. Heās got a manual too. Lots of speed when he was wheeling. IIRC, I think heās only running a few inches of lift and a LOT of trimming on things.
I like Gaia as it integrates pretty well with Apple Watch. I use it primarily for dirt biking. It integrates with CarPlay well too. The only pain is when you want to use your cameras. The nice part is building a route and then following . Not so much in dirt bikes but wheeling.
āHereās a...
Just saw that on the YouTube. Wonder if it includes the sleeves too. I see he hasnāt broken the rack yet with stickies full of water. Said he busted an axle after that.
āWatching those videos, you could tell he knew the exact scenarios where the tie rods would be comprised. Also,I just noticed in the screen capture for the video I posted, he was running an experimental tie rod on the passenger and it looks like a factory tie rod on the driver. It looks like...
Iām more concerned with the cast aluminum rack busting. This may be some safety feature built into the rack (from the factory) for collisions and sheering/turning so the steering wheel doesnāt break your arms when you hit something.
I did really like his explanation of how the components...
Seems like these guys are abusing the Bronco and finding the weak points and thinking of good solutions. They also have a tie rod sleeve solution that seems pretty common among IFS crowds too.
Iām almost certain it does, Fordās at least. I get it in rentals pretty often and wish my Tremor had it. I like to see how far I can push rentals and left the ACC on when coming up to a stop light. Worked like a charm and stopped behind the car in front of me at the light. That particular...
Experience from my F150 with the 3.5EB, downshifting usually gets better MPG. I found when towing in that F150, I could get better mileage when letting the motor rev out to 4K or so than letting the boost develop the HP (also helped to keep the motor cool when towing 9k lbs).
Usually the sweet...
Iāve been out of off-roading for a while, but there is a certain aspect of being prepared. Carrying spares? Iām glad there are people that are out wheeling hard and finding the weak points but if people would have just looked at common IFS failures when off-roading, they would see the tie rods...
