Once you have an APIM programmed to your VIN and latest Ford software update. Without that the FORSCAN layover program can/will cause the system to eventually go blank as their is a VIN and "firmware" mismatch.
The first couple of weeks of this month I took the kiddos and the doggo on a road trip and did the cliché' family stuff in Florida. But it was a lot of fun. 3,377 miles and 200.296 gallons of gas. So clicked over; 32,000, 33,000, 34,000 and 35,000 on the trip. The car needs a major cleaning...
Not even close. $2600 for the plug and play kit is a billions times more reasonable. But I do not want to pay that. Hence why I am looking for a reasonable APIM programmed location.
I have come up empty and thus have not done the swap and cancelled my order for the other parts...
There is no REASONABLY priced solution to a correctly programmed APIM for the 12" swap? I sure have not found one that is not over $1,000 for just the programmed part.

That is what it seems like. If you do install it and get good results let me know! I would really like to use it. But right now I am really bummed it doesn't work based on the brackets.
Not out of the holes they fell in from.
