Mine still looks good but I know others have had issues.

I just got a delivery notice for tomorrow. Hopefully I'll have some time to open and take some pictures. I know I won't be the first to install. Too dang cold around here!
Here's a guy in North Georgia that is selling a 2 door hardtop. I have no idea if he still has it but might be worth a try. Seems like a decent price.

I'm not sure this is the best way but its the way I did it. I put on the new FPP cover and the DV8 skid on at the same time which allowed me to make all my cuts on the skid while both were off the vehicle. As you can see, there are 2 bolts that go through the skid and the cover so you have a...
I had to cut out sections of the skid plate in the areas indicated in the picture.
As far as the fit, the skid plate fits very tight against cover plus there are 2 bolts that does through the skid to the diff. The cover is also thicker than the factory one.
If you ever think you might get a diff skid, it might make a difference which one get. I got the Ford Performance cover but I had to modify my DV8 cover to work with it.
I would love to get a set for my 4" Rigid lights but you don't seem to have them in HPR. I already have the B pillar topo and would like the light covers to match them.
Is it possible to get them in a custom color?
Also, is it possible to not get the name "Rigid" on them or at least a different...
Love the Foutz design on their skids but had a friend try to install them and had all kinds of issues. He ended up taking his Bronco to Foutz to have them installed.
I ordered a set of IAG skids since they fit the Badlands with the factory bracing and they seem really easy to install. I'm also...
I used something very similar to this from Harbor Freight. I also purchased the 3/4" to 1/2" adapters needed for your current breaker bars. It really worked great since you could set your wanted torque and it would beep when you reached it. I used it to install some DV8 lower shock mount skid...
Thanks for the update. I had kinda forgotten that I ordered a custom set of these back in August. I happened to run across my order email, so I just emailed them to ask for an update. I'm order #8366 so it sounds like it shouldn't be too much longer.
There is enough room to access the drain without cutting into the plate.
Here are all the areas that needed modification. The upper side holes should have been made a little bigger but once I got it up there, I wasn't going to bring it back down. All the ribs of the diff cover needed clearance...
Yep, I did get one per your recommendation although I didn't cut down the tube. It was just tough to get the bag high enough especially on the front diff. The rear is not nearly as tough especially if you have the axle assembly at full droop. The transfer case was somewhere in the middle.
This looks like a great solution but does anyone have any feedback on it? The current stock plate is not supported at all so this would definitely help in some situations. But wouldn't the brace just bend if you actually hit a rock while off-roading?
