I think Ford just turned on the notification system that was off during the strike. I got the same messages. Through chat I got me Vin and build week a while ago. I still show only that but the salesman called several days ago and gave be my build date of 01/12 but nothing on the tracker or...
Sorry that sounded a little bitter. It is just previous to the MY2024 order book for most models you were give two upgrade paths for the drivetrain. The Sasquatch for those wanting the full off-road capabilities which gave you lockers and 4A along with the large tires, etc. Then there was the...
Without 4A the OBX does not fit between the Black Diamond and Badlands. Almost switched to Badlands but liked the more comfort of the OBX. I added lockers to get me part way on the drivetrain. The wrong winter will not be good with the wife an this Bronco.
I always ran snow tires on all my RWD cars. FWD were good on all seasons. In one case it was a RWD new model with special sized performance tires. It was delivered in the winter and no snow tires were available to fit. Just a little glaze and I was stuck in the office flat parking lot. Lucky my...
I'm in for most of these suggestions. While there is room for constant improvement this is the best thing out of Ford for a while. Great job original team. For me I would like to restore some of the thing we lost in the backlog fiasco. I would like advanced 4WD available in all models without...
The price includes dealer installation. The factory did most of the wiring and the hitch is four bolts. Some programming is needed but none of this is $500. And again Ford is paying the dealer to do this already.
My OBX is also scheduled for the 01/08 week, ordered 09/06. 4 door, 2.7, rear lockers, tow, switches, Azure. We will see when it is in production and I get a sticker.
Time to join the party. Ford chat gave me my VIN and build date of 01/01/2024 ordered 09/06/2023. OBX, 2.7, Azure, non-sas, lux, soft top, lockers, switches, tow. Take your time at MAP, it is a new model year and the New Year’s party was way too much fun. Thanks.
So the number of unscheduled order went up by over 3K and the 2023 banks were closed. It would be confusing to include 2024 orders and there should be way more than 3K of them. So what does this mean for the 2023 people with less than a month of production to go. Are all scheduled that will be...
This report always seems to be missing some information and answers to questions. Maybe it was address when it first was posted. For instance these are unscheduled orders vs. capacity. How do scheduled orders fit in? Are these total capacities or capacity after scheduled orders are accounted...
Constraints, as used here, must be modern business school/MBA theory for "It's not my fault, loosing is the new winning, blame the guy that wanted to sell it in the first place". The current suits see more people wanting to buy something more they are currently making as a problem with the...
I wish Ford would read these posts and their great discussion of 4wd usage. Maybe they would change course in the 2024 order book an allow me to add 4A to my non-sas order. I'll wait if constrained.
Like most commuters in less than ideal road conditions you want your GOAT truck to do just that but you did not buy automatic/advanced 4WD. 4H cannot help you as you would like. On the road you must make the judgement on road conditions and only engage it in limited situations and those...
My '24 OBX, non-sas, V6, Lux, Lockers is ordered but not without a hint of concern. Reading forums as they tend to be overly negative has not helped. This thread has actually restore some of my diminished enthusiasm. Thanks for that. The basic truck might be the best thing Ford has done in...
The Bronco is not for everyone but it must appeal to a broader segment than the hardcore off roaders or off roaders in general. There would be no Wrangler or Bronco in that case as there would not be enough units sold to justify their existence. These trucks spend the majority of their lives...
I’m convinced the people at Ford that made this change to remove the 4A have no clue what it is. Climbing rocks and running muddy trails is not so much the focus as icy, snowy, rain ponded paved roads. Exactly the target for the OBX or other capable road targeted builds. I ordered a 2024 OBX...
Is this the case for all Broncos or just a factory defect for this one? The raw metal here will rust out the rocker in no time in PA winter salt and brine. Needs all tape removed, paint and plugs asap.
I would agree the OBX targets the everyday mostly road driving customers that want the extra capabilities, or the look, of a Bronco. Don't see why they would limit the choices by axing the two door. They already have most of the parts. The formerly AWD buyers would however be willing to BUY the...
Hope this works out for you. I too had my dealer call when putting my order in 3/27 to say all was good with my order including the Lux package but ... no cloth seats. Did any one see that odd constraint coming? In answer to the wife on why not get another Mazda loaded for 20K less her reaction...
