Thanks for the link! I love Auxbeam but I think I am going to try to pair this mount with this Rough Country chase light so I can wire up the brake and then chase and reverse to the upfitter switches.

Hello all! Malicious here with a “Super-Budget” fishing rod holder setup. No offense to the wonderful providers who make specialized solutions for carrying your fishing rods on the trail sights but I couldn’t see spending $200 on holders for my Snoopy rod and reel. One big limitation of this...
That is the bond line between the two halves when they are injected into the mold. Common to see in motorcycle tires. I can even see the bond line lightly my OEM tires with only 20k miles on them. You are noticing them much more because you are close the end of the tire life. The wear bars in...
I don't have experience with those lights specifically but for most add on lights, the Aux switch cannot supply enough power. It is best to keep the relay and fuse that came with the lights, and wire the Aux switch to control the relay.
I believe for most people, one Aux switch to control both...
That's what I did. I didn't have the alignment tool. I started with the bracket all the way down and forward, then set the soft top bracket on the alignment pins. I eyeballed to difference the plate would need to be moved so that the soft top brackets seat fully on the pins. After a couple of...
Stinger includes that bracket in their wiring kit STXKBR8 (https://portalus.stingersolutions.com/product-81591) not sure if you can buy it separate though.
The 40amp tripped reliably at 40amps draw, I haven't put the multimeter on the 50amp and it is nice to have a manual physical disconnect button. I leave disconnected all the time and only reset the breaker when I am using the compressor. (Kinda more like a switch than a breaker)
I love the Alpine 10" with the SSV Works enclosure. It is really boomy. You do have to work around it in the cargo area but I swap tops as the seasons change so it's really not that bad (it works great with both). With the Alpine A55 and the LC5i-Pro behind the cargo panel there was no space for...
Honestly if you put a 50amp quick disconnect in the middle of the cable, you only have to zip off those 4 Nylon nuts and it's out. If you mark the holes in the Molle you could put anything else up there normally and then just swap out for the compressor.
I figured now that everything is mounted up I would share my "super-budget" on-board compressor solution. There is no doubt that this solution is fraught with safety questions but it has proven an inexpensive solution for my priorities:
On-board hardwired compressor
Compressor mounted in cargo...
I closed some of the spring coils with a needle nose and put a few twists of wire as a temp solution. Does anyone know if I need to order the rivet too? Or should I just put a bolt through the backside and a nut on the outside? I am good at cutting the head off of a rivet but I've never...
Hello all! I need some help.
The passenger side tension wire on my soft top has been really loose for quite some time. I just put the soft top back on and went investigating. I found the spring that connects the rear end of the wire is pulled out (un-sprung, stretched out) causing the extra...
Old thread but I am just realizing this is my issue. The spring on the passenger side got stretched out somehow and now won’t pull the wire tight. Did anyone figure out how to compress the spring or replace the whole wire?
