Yeah, got two daily drivers right now. X5 is for long drives / weekend shenanigans. Audi is for local errands.
Will be selling the X5 soon to make space for the Bronco. Audi has been solidly reliable, don't see any reason to get rid of it unless I find a sports car that I really like.
Nah, not going to bother.
For my use cases like going for a trail run, cycling, etc... I can carry the FOB with me.
When that isn't an option, I'll use this.
The number pad for entry looks so dated and I've alway seen them falling apart on cars that have them.
Badass!
Me and my buddy had signed up for the 2021 LA marathon again. We got lucky and had just run LA right before COVID happened last March!
I'm shooting for at least 10k a week along with my weight lifting.
I saw in another thread, there's quite a few of us that enjoy long-distance runs.
What's your favorite distance?
I enjoy both 10k and the 1/2 marathon!
Sounds like a bunch of us enjoy running!
I propose we take delivery of our machines and coordinate a trail-running festival with fellow Bronco owners!
We'll call it the Bronco Bonanza Trail Fest. Who's in?
I'm a single guy, mid-30's, working in the tech. industry, adjusting to being at home nearly all day long.
Super active, endurance sports, trail running, road running, marathons, triathlons, cycling, etc... all that good stuff.
I'm into camping, the beach life, and just being outdoors. I...
I was slightly disappointed when I saw the hose-out interior wouldn't be available with the powered seats - and I'm not going to bother reasoning how "easy" it would have been Ford to water-proof the electronics.
I'd rather have powered seats and then just drop some money on deep, rubber floor...
I know on my X5, you can recalibrate the zoom on the camera(s) to compensate for those things.
My rear-facing camera was calibrated when I installed my tow hitch and again after the rear end was repaired by the shop.
FWIW I'm glad I'm in this group of folks. I'm at a point in my life where time is hard to make (or find) and I can afford to have this new toy in the driveway.
I've got my reservation in for a silver 4DR, lux package, 2.7L, winch, and tow package, with whatever roof option they'll provide.
I...
1. Next 10+ year car that will (comfortably) take me off the beaten path and hit the rough stuff.
2. Best option in the market with all the tech at a justifiable price point.
3. I know Ford will make a reliable / quality vehicle.
Not worried, it's easy enough to move the camera around - and I figure they'll find a solution for the dynamic cruise control radar in front too.
A little 3D printing can go a long, long way.
Will be moving my reservation over as well - unfortunately the Ford office is closed for the day. Will be calling them first thing tomorrow morning.
Thanks all!
I went nearly all in on my build. Badlands in iconic silver (still debating colors), MIC hard top, canvas bimini, lux package, with the 2.7L, leather seats, and tow package., I checked the box for the winch but I saw that Warn has it for $1500, not sure if it's really worth the $1k premium to...
I got my build kind of figured out - the only thing I'm pondering now is what color I want to order this beast in.
As someone that works in software - give the folks at Ford some time to figure this out. They're great at building cars not web user experiences ;)
