I would go with a white top vs. a gray top, but would probably choose a black top. White tops certainly were iconic for Broncos over the years. Marketing and concept of a purpose built 4x4 with this new Bronco certainly have paid a great deal of homage to the classic Broncos, but I think this...
The main advantage of a soft top is that putting it down, taking it off, or putting it up is easily done by one person. Due to size, shape and weight taking off and putting on hard tops usually needs to be done with two people, or a mechanical lift of some sort, or perhaps one strong & really...
I think this is one factor, combined with a foreseen "low take rate" on two-door with soft top.
Give the standard four-door the cheap top, give the standard two-door the expensive top - makes the base four-door price look better and saves engineering/production costs for a two-door soft top...

One factor is cost. Generally, upgrading to an auto transmission is 2 or 3k. I am more than happy to save that money as I prefer manual for having the fullest feel and control over the engine and transmission. But if they were to charge the same or more for a manual I would need to weight the...
It would be funny if it wasn't so depressing how many of the cool things that were super exciting as they got "leaked" through this past year for the new Bronco are mutually exclusive. Two-door & soft top, crawler gear & 2.7, sway bar disconnect & most trims. Glad to hear they will be offering...
I don't think I could have worded it any better. Years from now my daughters won't remember how easy it was to load into our 4-door sedan, but they will remember how much fun it was to climb the tires to jump into the back of the Jeep with the top off and the creative ways they found to pack...
It will be hard to say no to a Two-door Base Manual with Sasquatch. Very hard. A two-door Wrangler Rubicon Manual is about 42k. If they price the Manual Sasquatch Package reasonably... very cool. I keep thinking this would affect the Badlands Trim, but BL would still very well be their real...
Two-door pickup and I am absolutely in. "Shut up and take my money" kind of in! The only reason I am still undecided on a new vehicle to purchase is because that Jeep J6 concept (or even a two-door Gladiator option) failed to materialize. Modern truck choices are too wide, too long, too heavy...
This is just as true for solid axle as IFS. At the limits of articulation, one tire will bear less weight. The big difference is how much more articulation a disconnect will get you. The main point is that it is usually only a few inches with IFS, SFA is usually substantially more so it is...
Top off, doors off wheeling is pretty restricted by locality, weather and purpose. Wheeling trips are often not local. That usually means distance traveling, undependable weather, and a need for secure storage. wheeling in the dust, mud, snow, etc. can also be a factor for some.
When the...
With all those compromises why even wait a year, just get a Wrangler now. ?
But seriously now, not a bad point from the OP. I keep feeling a little dissapointed on the trim levels, choices, and pricing... but it is enticing to save $10,000 and get a base model and go aftermarket from there.
My only disagreement is that two-doors are for people with no kids. Two-doors are fantastic for up to two kids, especially with the top off.
Car seats in the back for little ones is absolutely a major pain, but managable like the days when most 5-seater cars were 2-door and a truck with...
The JL Wrangler overall width is 73.8", the wheels/fenders are the widest point.
The new Bronco is 86.2" with mirrors, 75.9" without. With mirrors, the Bronco is 12.4" wider than the Wrangler.
This is a dimension I put into heavy consideration. Many trails in my area recommend against...
Maybe not a deal breaker, but it has kept me from reserving a Bronco. I was looking for a Base Two-door manual Sasquatch with 2.7L, soft top & sway bar disconnect. Of those seven options, I can only choose three or four together in any model.
Maybe it is a dealbreaker... Sasquatch with...
My guess is larger bump stops installed to limit uptravel with the 35" tires to prevent rubbing. I can not think of any other reason, unless there are beefier suspension components installed that don't allow as much movement.
I think this is spot on. I see the Bronco as fitting right in that territory between the Wrangler and the FJ Cruiser. With the FJ gone, there's a big void for the Bronco to fill.
Personally I think the Bronco has more appeal to buyers looking for an FJ, 4-Runner, Cherokee, Hummer, Avalanche...
The reasoning for cancellation is in one of the screenshots...
Bad pre-order experirnce
No manual trans with Sasquatch
No option for rubberized floor & marine grade seating on Base model
This just about sums it up.
I am starting to think the conflict is rooted in the off-road software integration with off-road hardware. I'm sure the off-road modes all rely heavily on control over the engine, transmission, brakes, transfer case, lockers, sway bar, etc. and it seems they REALLY...
