Too late. I didn’t have the right size tap and the bolt broke off inside when I just tried to get it through. Probably will weld a new nut on when I get time as I haven’t heard back from them.
That’s clean, would have saved me some hours but my Gmrs has been mounted a while. Actually put it in the same location, but my bracket setup doesn’t look as nice.
The ford rock rails will only last so long with actual rock crawling. If you doubt you’ll drag the sliders or only do it occasionally, they’ll probably hold up. But being they’re only attached to the pinch weld there’s no way they will not deform that sheet metal over time. I switched to frame...
I just bought replacement bolts at the hardware store that worked well. Installed my sliders on Monday. Drilled some of the frame holes but still need to do other ones. My right angle drill was too big and I don’t want to remove them again so I’m getting a smaller one. And I also had to trim the...
I’m hoping to come up for at least one day of wheeling. Had my old 89 up for that event 4 years in a row a few years back. I’ll have the 21 but it’s a 4 door sas. Definitely will hit the trails if I come.
I already have the jcr shock skids but I guess I’m not understanding the point of the diff skid? If it doesn’t extend far enough forward to protect the pinion what is the point? Yes it’s a smoother surface to slide over stuff but the bottom of the diff isn’t going to break. Like someone...
Looks like I’m in the minority but have no desire to put in any floor mats. 7000 miles on the bronco now and the rubber floor is so easy to clean. Fast vacuum and wet sponge to get it spotless. Had broncos with bedlined floors and floor mats in the past. Gets moisture and debris in between them...
I find the different opinions here interesting. I have a 2.7 lux and am convinced it has fake engine noises, at 7000 miles now of driving. More noticeable at times, and even with the stereo off. I have no desire to switch out the b&o system because I think it sounds good, but need to get rid of...
Mine seems to almost miss a shift and then shift very hard occasionally. Only happens at slower speed when the bronco is completely cold, and when I accelerate more. Never happens after it’s warm. And 6000 miles now with no other issues. I would say it happened way more often for the first 1000...
It’s secure, can’t get in with the tailgate locked. It’s made out of metal, but sure you can cut though it. Very unlikely unless you live somewhere that they cut out catalytic converters and stuff.
That’s what I was wondering. But the jeep has seen multiple updates on the step and circuit board.
What I was told about the bronco circuit board is they had it produced by somewhere and weren’t happy with the quality. Then they moved onto another manufacturer (not sure if that’s in house or...
Yea, you’ll probably get a better product not being towards the front of the line. The extra steps were good for instant trouble shooting even though they were also broken. Just sucked waiting for packages from Utah over and over.. Really delayed getting them installed.
I have had issues with my steps so I’ve had practice removing and reinstalling stuff. Had my passenger side off 3 times again since I’ve installed it.
The wiring harness will allow the positive and negative to reach the battery (I discovered the 2nd time running it). Start at the drivers side...
Same here actually. I miss the slow days too, used to go when the weather was bad. It’s hard to fish in the summer with so many cars packed in and people swimming everywhere.
I used to drive on the beaches in de all the time, but it’s been a few years. The race to buy a tag and how busy the beaches get has made me not want to do it anymore.
