I'm considering keeping my 09 Honda Pilot for a year as a backup vehicle after I get the Bronco since it's definitely roomier than a Bronco and drives fine. The costs I have for it are yearly registration, fuel, maintenance, and insurance which should decrease as I drive it less.
I don't mind them so much. They fit the utilitarian theme of an off-road vehicle. The preliminary specs show an available aluminum wheel option for BD too so you don't have to worry about being stuck with the steelies out the door. I personally am planning to swap them out sooner or later.
That's my current plan. Probably will get the slate gray color which may somewhat match Area 51. At $300 each though it's going to be $1500 in rims alone.
The $700 difference is only 1-2% of the total cost of the vehicle ($35k - $60k) for people X-plan-qualified.
Since I reserved the morning after the announcement it's a matter of whether getting my Bronco mid-2021 is worth $700 more than getting my Bronco early-2022. Getting my Bronco later also...
I'm considering regular XPEL since I prefer a glossy finish, but it's going to be expensive. My local XPEL installer quoted me $7000 for a full vehicle wrap versus $3500 for driver's package which doesn't include doors/roof.
If you click into the Big Bend details the heated front seats are listed as optional. You'll have to add the mid package to get it. The short description is just pointing out it's available, versus the Base.
I haven't made the call to Ford to make the switch just yet. I was considering waiting until B&P is out before doing so, understanding that it may be a while. Granger Ford, are there any logistical concerns on your end if I switch later? Before the switch deadline of course.
Every trim should get the 8" screen in the center. The instrument panel however will differ between base/bb/bd and ob/bl/wt, with the higher trims getting the "high level instrument panel".
Privacy glass probably just means tinted glass for 2nd row and rear windows. Flip-up glass probably...
