Yep, just sold my car today and I'm on B&P sites for all the truck makers...except for Ford, they seem determined not to sell any vehicles.
I originally wanted a two door Bronco but the four seats was making it difficult to justify for a family a five. It's so odd to me why it doesn't seat five...
I'm selling a vehicle today and I'm already on Chevy's B&P. This is a serious contender.
Ford better hurry with some pricing information or I may be going back to my Chevy roots.
(Chevy is also giving $1,000 towards accessories.)
The new GM diesel is an I6: https://gmauthority.com/blog/gm/gm-engines/lm2/
It's getting rave reviews, actually. There's an odd issue with the oil pump. It's belt-driven off the rear crank. So that means the transmission (and transfer case) has to be pulled by 150k miles. Probably was designed...
One of the best vehicles I owned was a pre-dieselgate VW Jetta. It would get 50 MPG and still chirp the tires from a stop. Of course, they were "cheating" to get those sweet numbers, but it was fun while it lasted.
I mean, if you're going to FI everything anyway, might as well have the...
I remember everything about my friend's and family's vehicles because it's an extension of their personality. I don't think it has to have a certain "cool" factor...just has to be more than basic transportation for them.
Here's an apples to apples comparison with the 2.0L Wrangler. It'll be interesting to see how Ford does hose and electronics management with the 2.3L. Maybe having an IFS system upfront will free up some room in the engine bay?
BTW, Ford is doing their own branding sleight of hand with the Mustang and Bronco. Let's see if the MachE and Bronco Sport get tallied with their big brothers for sales figures.
Can Ford really gripe about combining GMC/Chevy when they've used "F-Series" in their advertisements before? Every car maker does it. At the end of the day, whatever model you buy, that money is going to the mothership and that's what gets tallied.
I saw Lunar Rock at the Toyota dealership and on the road. I really like the color as it has alot of green in it. The Cactus deep dive has me worried...didn't have the depth that Lunar has. Of course, can't know until I see it in person.
Not quite apples to apples with the Bronco but it's a BOF off-road vehicle, so many people might be cross shopping them, especially given the price. It's clear in the breakdown that the design is very outdated compared to the Bronco; but for some, that's a plus.
