I grabbed the 4WP plate. I was worried it wouldn't fit over the swaybar disconnect on the Badlands but it was a bolt in fit. They mention having to drill a 1/2" hole in the crossmember but already had a hole there to slide a flange nut over. All the hardware came with it. Approx 3/16" thick...
Just did this for my driver door and am stoked to have it opening and closing without the drag finally. The tape at the bottom was great advice to get the adjustment dialed.
I got the "oops, something went wrong and we didn't get a picture of your bronco...sorry bout that". Not a big deal since Ford did a great job setting my expectations way low for customer experience. They've made the dealer interaction almost something i looked forward to in comparison. Maybe...
Pretty sure I won't do this again (fool me once...) but super happy to be in it 2yrs and 2mos later. I won't say it was worth the process, but it's worth the wait. Hang in there.
This is where we come to air our frustrations right? HI, my names J and my Bronco has been sitting for 2 weeks at the final train yard 90 minutes from me waiting for a truck transport to take it to the dealer... true story. I agree, this part is harder than waiting for a VIN.
Gonna go look...
Got the Ford "Shipped" email this morning. 9/8 blend date. On its way west. I'm not going to track -- just going to wait for that dealer call. (see how long i hold out on that...)
Not to make you worry but i had a 9/8 blend with aux switches and am in "built" status. That said, i have Badlands trim pkg. I wouldn't think that would change things but maybe because its part of the stock build on mine that it came through quicker...
Just above the module details on the Ford Service Info page. You should see VIN # and then below that line is Tear Tag --- will be blank until signed off with a four letter code..
That said, my tear tag just populated this morning. Rolling!
May have to do the same. How was the quality/thickness on those? I'm always worried I'll bend them shutting the door on a gear bag or case of beverages if i'm not paying attention. Like these better than the plastic versions though.
The one good aspect of this looong wait is that accessory...
Not yet as of this morning but it was 638/866 so figure it will be tonight.
Labor day deals broke my resolve on waiting to buy parts for the bronco --- now i'm sure i've jinxed the delivery.
Ooh boy, window sticker showed up tonight. There's a bit of stress reading through making sure its the right build and all the specs are there.
now if i can figure out how much oil to put in it...
Well shoot -- see some familiar names here. I'm coming from the 8/29 build group now as well. I didn't see a smoking gun on the prior tracker so have to assume its general shuffling of builds week to week.
Marked the new date on my calendar and just laying in my hammock, below my flag...
Bumped to 9/5. SAS. Good luck all.
See about one Bronco a day now out on the road in my area (mostly soft tops) which at least starts to make it feel more real.
