We have a 3.6 Wrangler JLU with a Mopar lift and 315's. Its a Sahara so 3.42 gears. I haven't checked the 0-60 but honestly, with the 8 speed, it doesn't do terrible from a dead stop. It will actually spin the 315's (not crazy- but will turn them over). Where it suffers horribly is on the...
I’m one of the gawkers! I live in WV and parents moved to KY, just across the border on I64. We were delivering some garage items in a uhaul trailer to them and on our way back I saw you! Heading back home i was just cruising along and out of the corner of my eye there it was! My wife missed it...
I've followed LiteBrite for a couple years and found them when we bought our JLU. I was so excited to see they are getting a Bronco. I assure you they will showcase a lot of aftermarket parts and Kevin will find the weak points. He is a heck of a driver and she can spot him. Great team! And Ford...
They have another video with a tuned 2.7 F150 where it literally twisted a driveshaft apart. And for the 2.3 buyers, 5star also tuned a Ranger and it also really woke up. You can see it on the TFL YouTube channel. Turbos love tuning and 5star has a record of safe tunes. I’ll be considering one...
As a lifted JLU owner, with a Bronco on order, I will say in this pic the Jeep definitely holds its own on the rugged scale. But- our JLU is a Sahara and looked positively wimpy before we lifted it. It truly looked like it skipped leg day being a 4 door. This absolutely confirms we will be...
We added a Rough Country relocation bracket to our Wrangler (315's) and while it clears the bumper, it is a lot of stress on the swing gate. I would imagine Ford engineered it to properly handle the weight. Jeep only offers a 33" max and that seems to be the engineered design max without...
I get what your saying. Jeep is the same way I feel. When we bought our JLU Sahara, it didn't have that aggressive look we were after. It was riding on Bridgestone duelers and just had a suburban cruiser feel. After the Mopar lift and 315's, the attitude completely changed. But I feel like that...
Id guess tire smoke but the Pentastar is known to dump oil into the combustion chamber at extreme angles causing excessive oil smoke. Lots of people that wheel hard put a catch can on the engine. Lite Brite has an old video on it.
We have three Wranglers. A YJ, TJ, and JLU.
The YJ I bought last month to fix and flip. Last remnants of the CJ heritage. 258 6cyl, GM steering column, and Ford ignition. It’s currently “naked” in the garage. It’s lifted 4”.
The TJ is my wife’s favorite. It’s lifted 4” also. This one stays...
We had that approach with our JLU. Bought a 5k mile Sahara with the 3.6 and 3.42 gears. It had street tires and looked pretty wimpy. We aren’t hardcore off roaders so we just did a mild lift and wheels and tires.
Enter the Mopar lift. New coils, Fox shocks, new lower front arms. Dealer...
I am a big fan of both the ecoboost and the 5.0. They have different driving dynamics and both engine types are powerful.
That said, for myself, a V8 bronco would be on my personal wish list. I had a gen 1 Raptor that I loved. With the MBRP exhaust, the sound and power was suited in my mind to...
We will be definitely going Sasquatch. This is the wife’s Mopar lifted JLU with 315’s. It looked very much like a street Jeep with the Sahara package. I’m a fan of factory backed lifts. This one rides same as stock and has great ground clearance. For our light off-roading it’s perfect.
I’m on the JL forum too. Found it after we bought our 18 JLU and was looking into the crap steering. Pretty apparent there isn’t a fix so the wife has been looking forward to the Bronco. The Bronco talk is getting some members riled up. I understand. It’s a Jeep forum but then again they aren’t...
For those of you that don’t watch LiteBrite channel on YouTube, what just happened literally has me stoked even more for this reveal.
Before we bought our JLU, I came across their YouTube channel. It’s now one of my regular stops as they are always entertaining and informative.
They have (among...
We are primarily a Ford family. My 2018 F250 PSD, sons 2011 F150, and two foxbody Mustangs.
But we’ve had at least one Wrangler in the fleet for years. Wife’s daily driver is a Mopar lifted 2018 JLU. Her other is a Zone lifted 98TJ
Prior to that, she had a few Fords as her daily drivers...
Ill know next week once the wife sees the reveal. Her Wrangler JLU is a steering nightmare and she is willing to hold out if she likes the Bronco. I think its going to check the boxes. Ecoboost (she loves power), sits higher than a regular vehicle, rugged, Ford Sync (her UConnect has been...
I’ve followed them for quite awhile. We have a JLU and stumbled on their channel when we first got it. If you haven’t watched them, they absolutely put that Jeep through the ringer. But- what’s left is hardly factory Jeep. Axles, suspension, Hemi swap, etc. I personally enjoy their channel. I’d...
First time poster-
My wife developed a Wrangler connection back in 2000 when we bought our first TJ as a second vehicle. Over the years we have had several Wranglers including 3 TJ’s, a JKU, and her current daily driver a 2018 JLU Sahara. We bought it last year used with 5200 miles as the...
