You have options. Like one said at his dealership he can't upsell warranty work. DIY is not for everybody. You can find a local shop that you can trust. Have them do the basic service. They will look over vehicle and tell you if they find anything out of ordinary. Take back to dealership...
Most of our techs have them for their drain buckets. Prevents splash. Also saves drain plugs and washers going down the drain can. Works great when working on transmissions just drop all the screws on the screen when taking down the pan.
Keep us posted if the new transmission fixed the problem. My bronco's rear axle was replaced. Got it back last week. So far so good. Will be getting transmission fixed in the spring.
I tried to get my Bronco serviced at my seller dealer Bayshore but they we're six week out. Sheridan is walking distance from my work. Plus one of our techs used to work there. Ken service advisor has been straight forward about repairs. Looking forward to getting it back.
My Bronco has been at Sheridan since Tuesday getting a new rear axle. During installation they needed to order more parts. Hope to get it back this week. Looking forward to getting to really drive my vehicle it's been since mid August when I notice the leak.
Air bags didn't deploy because the sensors are mounted lower, around bumper level. Doesn't look like the frame horns got compromised. Could have been much worse if came up over hood. I've seen several vehicles with deer strike through windshield. Glad you're safe, parts can be repaired and...
Remember when using wheel lock key. No impact drivers only hand tools. We use our master kit when vehicles have wheel locks. Some customers have no idea where they store the key.
Most dealers should have a master kit. Give them a call before heading down. Swap out the locks for regular lug nuts or they can order you a new key once matched up.
I have the noise but I can live with it for now. Waiting on a permanent fix. Like someone stated some have had the TSB done twice. It's only when cold start up, once warm it disappears. My Bronco is waiting on a rear axle housing, had two right axles replaced for a leak.
Taking it back in tomorrow for the same problem. This has been going on since August. I missed several events so far. Looks like I wouldn't be taking Bronco on vacation. This sucks. I love my Bronco. I bought it to enjoy it not sit in the garage and wait for parts or repair.
I have a 2022 2 door Base Sas with 7MT. I love the vehicle. Waiting on parts to fix leaking rear axle. I have a trip end of next month. Hope to have it back soon so I can do some short runs to make sure everything is good. Would hate to be on the trip and notice it leaking again. It's a...
I used the same thing Redone17 recommended when I changed trans fluid to BG Synchro II. Changed at 5,000 miles. Did have the synchro rattle. Will have to wait when the weather gets colder. Been happy so far. Dealing with a rear axle leak under warranty now. Once axle leak repaired will be...
Dealership ordered parts end of August still waiting for axle to arrive. Axle back ordered. We have an event at Ocean City next month. We hope to have Bronco back by than.
